The Colorado series was pathetic....losing I can accept, playing like total garbage should never be an option. So first we play the...their young card. Now its fatigue.... always an excuse.
August 24, 200323 yr Losing 4 to montreal on the road isn't that hard considering you were swept by Montreal at home with barry in the lineup. Montreal has the giants number. The Giants have our and Atlanta's number. No one team can dominate every team they play, it is impossible.

August 24, 200323 yr what really kills me is that we've been facing mediocre pitching at best. We did not face Jason Schmidt here or anything comparable in the Colorado series. The pitching has carried the load during pretty much this entire run since the all-star break. The offense is dragging and not making big plays.
August 24, 200323 yr im glad you all have finally all woken up and smelled the LOSING... i addressed this matter after lost two strait to the Rocks... and today we lost to a Team without Bond..... when ya #3 hitter is Jose Cruz Jr nobody should lose to a team with Cruz Jr batting #3 man is batting under 250.. and like 185 with RISP..... and to only get two runs of Hermanson was rather pathetic, and why the f*** does Luis feel as if he has to prove something to everybody by stealing a base, the man cant do it anymore and everytime he does do it, all it does is hurt us... i hope Trader Jack takes the Green Light away from Louie him running is killing us not helping us... and if ya gonna point the blame, ill do it for you Game 3- Loop comes in the 9th in a tie game, gives a walk off HR to Helton game 1 vs SF- Chad Fox giving up 2 runs was the diffrence Game 2- vs SF Urbina Letting Nefi get the best of him, he should have just walked him and gone after Cruz who is hitt under 180 now with RISP... what this all comes down to is our Pen Pitching has been garbage and until these losers dont get there confidence back dont Xpect to win a god damn game 5 IN ROW now we have lost, we should be thank ful the Phillies have lost 4-5 games
August 24, 200323 yr The Marlins are suffering fatigue, which is normal, and have had the situation exaggerated by the roadtrip to the two best home teams in MLB. Now is the test for McKeon. Our starters need a rest just at the time we need them the most. Banks, Fox, Mordi, Redmond, Castro need to bring it up a level, and McKeon needs to use them wisely.

That's why Miggy(at third),Red and Banks (Mabye) are gettting the starts today. August 24, 200323 yr Realize that we havn't lost 3 games or more in a row in 3 months until now people. You all are just spoiled by the incredible play we have witnessed. This is a major bump in the road, but even the freakin Braves slump every once in awhile. This team has not changed their style of play and they arnt dogging it on the field. Thats ridiculous. You had to expect our pitching to get slammed away from home, but our hitting has not performed away from PPS so far on this trip. Don't lose hope, jsut continue to cheer on our fightin fish.

Its the ones that can suck it up and stay on top that win. This is the point in the season where some teams start to fall apart, lets just hope the Marlins have hit a little bump in the road and thats all. It's not like they're just handing these games over (well maybe 1 or 2). We've just gotten so used to taking 2/3 every series, a little losing streak has everybody freaked out. Same thing is happening to Philly right now (thank god). They got their a$$es handed to them by the Brew Crew just like we got shelled by the Rocks. We'll pick it up and so will the Phils. This team has not shown any lack of effort. They have been scoring runs in the late innings during this road trip. This team is still playing with heart but how many times do I have to say that the team was just tired. Pudge and Lowell were Exhausted. Look now, the team is winning over San Fransico because they have fresh players subing for Lowell and Pudge. BTW, Welcome to the boards Spunky.

I didn't expect to go 6-0 in Col/SF but like Das Texan says show that fire, emotion and attitude that got you where your at right now. They shouldn't have gotten swept in Colorado if those three things would have show in the team play. Just look at who was pitching in all three games.
