November 30, 200520 yr Stays: Devin Hester (stated he will today officially), Vince Young Trade: Houston Texans trades the #1 Pick to Arizona for the #7 Pick, #39 Pick, 1st in 2007) Trade: Miami Dolphins trades the #8 Pick to Dallas for the #29 Pick, #61 Pick, and 2nd in 2007) 1. Arizona Cardinals: Matt Leinart QB USC ? They have their QB of the future, what else is to say? 2. Green Bay Packers: A.J. Hawk LB Ohio State ? Yes, I know it is hard to pass on bush. But Hawk is a player to build around for the long term. They get White in the 2nd round also 3. San Francisco 49ers: Reggie Bush RB USC - A steal and reunites with Smith from HS. What else do I gotta say? 4. New York Jets: D?Brickashaw Ferguson OT Virginia ? Best Lineman in the draft and a solid player all around. BPA. It all starts in the trenches and Ferguson wins in the trenches. 5. New Orleans: Jimmy Williams CB Virginia Tech ? Best corner in the draft and a lockdown abilities. 6. Tennessee Titans: Mario Williams DE North Carolina St. ? He is an absolute beast. They lost Kevin Carter last year and their other DE as well. Mario will make their defense a monster right away 7. Houston Texans: Jonathan Scott OT Texas ? Second best Tackle in the draft. He is a solid player and will be great long term. 8. Miami Dolphins to Dallas Cowboys: Brady Quinn QB Notre Dame - They draft Quinn and then trade him to the Cowboys for next years 2nd, this years 2nd and this years 1st of the cowboys. Quinn is a guy that is wanted by Parcells heavily. The picks giving up aren?t too bad and it gives what both teams want/need. 9. Detroit Lions: Joe Thomas, OT Wisconsin ? Another of the great Tackle Class. He is only a junior but if he comes out he will be a monster. 10. Cleveland Browns: Haloti Ngata DE Oregon ? Plugs up the defense and gives Andre Davis a reason to stay. Great foundation for a 3-4 defense in cleveland 11. Baltimore Ravens: Mathias Kiwanuka DE Boston College ? Another pass rushing monster to cause havoc for the Ravens. 12. Philadelphia Eagles: Tamba Hali DE Penn State ? He will have a great combine I think and end up rising in stock fast. He could be a great player in the nfl. 13. Buffalo Bills: Rodrique Wright, DT Texas-They need a DT badly 14. St. Louis Rams: Michael Huff S Texas- A great playmaker and help to their secondary with Archuleta. 15. Oakland Raiders: Ahmad Brooks LB Virginia- If he didn?t get hurt he was a top 5 pick. He could be even better then Hawk is. But at this pick he is steal and need for the Raiders. 16. Minnesota Vikings: DeAngelo Williams RB Memphis - Williams is the best pure back in the draft. How can you pass him up at 16? 17. Kansas City Chiefs: Derek Hagan, WR Arizona- He is the best receiver and a playmaker. A solid pick at 17 for BPA and Need. 18. Denver Broncos (from the Redskins): Laron Laundry S LSU- How can you resist a Safety that is the leading tackler on one of the best defenses in the nation? Run support? Passing aid? He can do it all. 19. Atlanta Falcons: Darnell Bing S USC- He is a playmaker and could be a solid pick up. Perhaps a young Ed Reed, except not as good as he isnt from the U 20. San Diego Chargers: Santonio Holmes WR OSU- A deep threat to go along with LT and Gates. McCardell is a FA this year also so helps out there. 21. Tampa Bay Buccs: Eric Winston OT Miami- He has the potential to be a top 5 pick. If he just didn?t get those injuries and poor play this year. It normally takes time to get back together and I am sure Cadillac will like him when he is mowing over folks. Could be the steal of the 1st round. 22. New England Patriots: Laurence Maroney RB Minn- A solid talent for the pats. They need a RB with the age of Dillon and his recent injuries. He is in the deline time of the career. Maroney should fill in nicely. 23. Cincinnati Bengals: Lenord Pope TE Georgia- Why not give them a TE to go with Rudi and Chad? He is a playmaker and should be amazing. Plus their defense is solid. 24. Jacksonville Jaguars: Max Jean-Giles OG Georgia- Maybe next year Leftwich will be protected and not get himself hurt. Maybe? 25. New York Giants: Chad Greenway LB Iowa- Greenway had his stock fall and swiftly. But he does have the prime tools to become something special. 26. Carolina Panthers: Jesse Maholena DT Tenn.- A solid undertackle and help for the defense against the run. He should fit in well with Carolina and keep them an elite team in the NFC for a few more years. 27. Chicago Bears: Mercades Lewis TE UCLA- Big time Tight end to join with Orton. He has the big receiver and the big TE, and they drafted the back last year too. 28. Pittsburgh Steelers: Martin Nance WR Miami(OH)- He was the receiver at Miami *OH) with Big Ben. Well that is something you cant get right out of the draft normally. Hence he is a solid pick here. Also White from USC could fit here too. 29. Dallas Cowboys: Traded to Miami: Jay Cutler QB Vanderbilt- They get their QB of the future right here, plus they get next years 2nd and a 2nd this year from the Cowboys. It fills what the dolphins are looking for and that is more picks for more holes. They do drop 20 spots in the draft but get good compensation. Cutler is the talent of a 1st round QB with a lot of upside and less hype then Quinn. Dallas gets their QB and Miami gets theirs. Which will turn out better in the long run is the question. 30. Denver Broncos: Claude Wroten DT LSU- A great guy up the middle for the Denver defense. He would fill in well with Landry going to them. 31. Seattle Seahawks: Ernie Sims LB FSU- A solid linebacker to pair with Taputu (sp) that they drafted last year. 32 Indy Colts: Demetrius Williams WR Oregon- He is a tall, fast receiver that can step in and take over for the loss of Wayne. If you all like I will do a second round for the draft. It is a lot different then my last one (which actually went over pretty good except the pats), Please tell me what you would like me to change. I will be more then happy to change up some things if so. I brought up the order of the draft before this weekends games btw. As for the two trades I think both fit the needs and mindsets of the Texans. If they are too little or too much tell me please, I will correct if I get a majority. I know some Miami fans would be upset if we traded away Quinn. Trades are always a pain to predict.
November 30, 200520 yr No way GB passes on Bush ..and I don't think Pope will be the 1st TE taken. Giants should do a happy dance if Greenway falls to them... but he won't fall past Oakland.

November 30, 200520 yr Author what if they are getting white in the second round? Remember bush is all of 5'8" wet. While White is a big bruising back perfect for the snow with good hands. He could easily step right in and start. I think he is much like Cadillac and Brown.
November 30, 200520 yr They're not passing up Bush. I'd be surprised if Arizona would pass up on him too. Then again, the Jets very well could have the first pick and take Bush.

With 3 backs on the board in the first I think he will. The top of the 2nd if he comes out. He could be swiped up by Pittsburgh. But with Parker becoming pretty solid I think they go Nance and take a RB later in the draft.
November 30, 200520 yr The Steelers need a deep threat at WR to replace Burress. Is Nance that deep threat?
November 30, 200520 yr Author The Steelers need a deep threat at WR to replace Burress. Is Nance that deep threat? Yep, why I picked him there for them. He fits their requirements perfectly.
November 30, 200520 yr no way the dolphins pass up quinn Quinn won't declare this season, so it's pretty much a moot point anyway
November 30, 200520 yr 23. Cincinnati Bengals: Lenord Pope TE Georgia- Why not give them a TE to go with Rudi and Chad? He is a playmaker and should be amazing. Plus their defense is solid. No offense, but no chance. We don't use our tight ends very much, I mean I'm sure we could gameplan him in, but we're fine with our blocking (Kelly)/3rd down receiving (Schobel) tandem. And our defense is not solid. We'll either take a defensive tackle or trade out of the first round. I kind of expect the latter.
November 30, 200520 yr If the Fins traded down and took Cutler, I'd be ecstatic, but I have doubts it happens.
November 30, 200520 yr I wish I could envision some kind of scenario where Haloti Ngata would drop to the Giants, but that won't happen. He will be one of the DTs in the NFL for a long time.
November 30, 200520 yr Hagan isnt the best playmaker or wide reciever in this draft... Holmes, Jason Hill, Chad Jackson, Jason Avant, and Martin Nance are all better picks then him. If the Bucs go the o-line route, I want them to look at Winston Justice from USC, I like him more then a potentially injury plagued Winston from Miami.

If the Bucs go the o-line route, I want them to look at Winston Justice from USC, I like him more then a potentially injury plagued Winston from Miami. Winston is so amazingly overrated. In the few games I've seen him play this year (FSU, VaTech, GaTech) he was consistently getting beat around the corner. The dude is still really slow on his feet. He could regain that with more physical therapy and stuff, but I have my doubts about him.
November 30, 200520 yr I gotta say, this mock went down a lot overall from your first attempt. I was fairly disappointed this time around.
December 1, 200520 yr No way Pope is the 1st TE taken. Lewis and that kid from Maryland are both better.
December 2, 200520 yr No way GB passes on Bush ..and I don't think Pope will be the 1st TE taken. Giants should do a happy dance if Greenway falls to them... but he won't fall past Oakland. the Niners will probably wind up with the #2 pick though...Green Bay is a lot more likely to get a third win than the Niners
