Everlong204
http://www.flightlevel350.com/viewer.php?id=5040 simply amazing, most definitly a worthy opponent to any of our aircraft
FutureGM
I don't see what's so special about it. It looks identical to the Su-27 Flanker. It says it's supposed to be the counter for the F-15 Strike Eagle. Except that it took the Russians 15 years after the Eagle was produced to make this thing. Now, the F-15 is almost old, and the F-22 Raptor is due to go into service in a few years.
Guest Fritz
Pretty badass, but it's meant to compete with the F15? They're a little late on that one.
Everlong204
Soviets were slow in producing it, it's not a new aircraft, built in the early 90's but never caught on becuase of the collapse of the soviet Union and the economy and such. The Su-30 with the forword canard wing( the smaller wing in front of the main wing near the cockpit) make it one of the most manueverable jet fighters in the world. still, as I see it Stealth >>> manueverablitiy
yankeefan21
simply amazing, most definitly a worthy opponent to any of our aircraft Especially when compared to some of our older equipment like the F14 Tomcat. They both go Mach 2.3 and are capable of withstanding 9 G's... Interesting that the F-14 is going out of service and the Russians are selling these to India... Wonder why? :mischief2 In all seriousness, there are already three prototype aircraft in the US alone that could pants that thing courtesy of the Joint Strike Fighter competition. Read about the F35 here. It is capable of going supersonic from a VERTICAL takeoff! Now THAT is bad@ss!

Now THAT is bad@ss! the F-14 is my favorite aircraft and what they are doing to that aircraft is a shame, The Tomcat is still more capable of defending the fleet then the Super Hornet is, and seeing Tomcat squadron logos like the Jolly Rogers on super hornets make me sick RIP
FutureGM
We're like a generation ahead of the Russians with projects like the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The latter plane will make at least the Tomcat and Harrier virtually obsolete in our Air Force and Navy.
Guest Moneyball
I'd like to see what type of aircraft the government is secretly working on.
