If Lowell is out for a while...

Featured Replies

Maybe the Fish go after Conine or Bautista? Stick Conine in LF. Cabs at 3B. or Cabs in LF and Bautista at 3B?

Conine would be a perfect fit. He can play 3b or LF.

what about Batista for 3rd or Conine for Left

the question of course is how much would it cost? and how much would we be willing to give? its not that easy

that doesnt make any sense

thats what i was going to say

according to my sources- which have always been right up to now

Lowell has a sprained wrist up to now and the x rays are still sketchy.

Marlins think he will be out 3-4 weeks, my source says most likely rest of the season.

Lowells name is also on some MLB news wire- crucial list (means hes in a hospital or x ray room i was told)

at 12 I will have more info.

Cabs is a good 3B, so I am not worried about that position. Banks, TH, and Williams will more than cover. Banks and Cabs will probably all we need. Luckily Lowell was in a slump, so it won't hurt as much at first.

ESPNews says his season is over. In other news, Expos in Montreal most likely for all 81 games in 2004.

Yes, Conine! Mr.Marlin makes a return. We should aquire him for many reasons:

1.Of course, to fill in Lowell's absence.

2.The return of Mr.Marlin to boost attendance in the slight.

3.Help Financially(If we decide to release Lee in the off-season which is probable.)

4.To provide veteranship.

We need Conine. If we don't get him,now then next year he can veto a trade. He would want to stay will Baltimore. We need him now!

Banks, TH, and Williams will more than cover. Banks and Cabs will probably all we need.

No, you don't replace you're mvp, you're one big power threat that easy. We're going to have to trade for someone.

I trust that Cabs and Banks will step up, the Marlins are not a one or two man team. EVERYONE needs to step up. I am confident that they will.

Hopefully a deal is done by tonight or tomorrow :(

its not that easy though, what would we give up?

I mean we have Cabs at LF...so conine wont be an option there.

Cabs would play third. if Batista, then Cabs would stay out left and Tony would play 3rd

At best we have Lowell back in four weeks, that would be in time for the NLDS. We have the talent to make it there.

its not that easy though, what would we give up?

Pitching Prospects Likely....

Probably Levinski, Wayne and another Player? :unsure :

its not that easy though, what would we give up?

well, I know for a fact that we wouldn't have to give up Lee to get Conine. Probably a prospect or 2. Maybe Blaine Neal or Justin Wayne.
