January 15, 200620 yr Author True, it was a valiant effort and nice to actually see us actually score with an extra attacker and Luong on the bench for once, but the only reason we had to score with 47 seconds left was because we choked bigtime in the 3rd period and gave up 3 goals. The fact that we were able to give up 3 goals in the 3rd period and still get a point out of it is miraculous to say the least. We didn't deserve to win tonight.
January 15, 200620 yr They outshot the Jackets 52-23. Typical CBJ game. The shot totals in our games are always ridiculous. We won a game 4-3 a couple weeks ago while giving up 43 shots and getting 17.

January 15, 200620 yr We got a point atleast, so we cant be too upset. Right now we are 4 points behind Tampa and NJ. Next 4 games get a little tougher. We play at Pho, Ana and TB, all who are just a few points better than us. If we want to make the playoffs we will need to play ALOT better on the road.

Third of all, why the comparison to AJ? Luongo has been playing his heart out as of late and he isn't going to snowball. Last night's game is an aberration. I have a feeling Luongo stays as this team is back in the playoff hunt. We make the playoffs this year, Luongo will stay. As simple as that. He wants to play for a winner and if we can prove we are ready to be playoff contenders again, he will stay.

In Malman's defense, he like myself and others in this thread made the comments in this thread based on a FALSE article that claimed Luongo rejected the offer among other things. Now that Luongo's agent confirmed the article to be false, that changes everything.
