That's a one year suspension, isn't it?

Yep, that's what the guy on the news said.

Just as I was about to post that I want to see some written proof it breaks across ESPNews and then I find this:

Report: Dolphins' Williams fails drug test

BY JASON COLE

Knight Ridder Newspapers

MIAMI - Dolphins running back Ricky Williams faces at least a one-year suspension from the NFL after testing positive for drug use a fourth time under the league's substance abuse policy.

Two sources confirmed a report by WSVN-TV that Williams had failed the test, although neither would say the substance Williams used. On three previous occasions, Williams had tested positive for using marijuana.

Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene declined to comment Sunday night.

"Because of the confidential nature of the league's substance abuse policy, we can't comment on any aspect of that program," Greene said.

Williams returned to the NFL this season after retiring for the 2004 season. He missed the first four games of the season and was fined an additional four weeks of salary from the second and third violations of the substance abuse program.

Those positive tests had occurred in December 2003 and in the 2004 offseason. Williams returned to have a productive season.

Williams has spent much of the offseason in Northern California studying yoga and holistic medicine.

There goes any chance to trade him and even if somehow this isn't true, his value still went down even more because of this talk. At least we will get to see what Ronnie can do as a featured back now. Should be a good fantasy option. :plain

Shoulda traded him.

Considering the window to trading wasn't open...

Legalize it, don't criminalize it!

Maybe he's trying to send a message? Be the icon of a movement to legalize weed?

Really sucks for us...

We'll be fine. He probably would've been traded before the draft anyway.

I know, but we would have gotten something in return. He had some value...now he's worthless. Not a huge loss I know, but still.

perfect now the fins can go after deANGELO Williams.

Yes, lets use a first round pick on another RB who this time probably wont be there when we select at 16 anyway!

yes because the 5'8" little RB is a better pick up then Ronnie brown???

yes. he is.

I really hope that it's that he missed a test instead of failing one so he can appeal it and hopefully win the case.....if he did in deed fail the test because he blazed then he a peice of sh*t and he lead us to beleive that he had changed and was going to help the Dolphins win a championship and the city also started to forgive him and he was hearing the cheers again..........Ricky Williams is done unless he wins his appeal.....

Not a surprise and we don't have to search the market for a back up running back since I believe we still have Travis Minor and Sammy Morris.
