March 25, 200620 yr is there a reason that this sub forum was put up. I think it takes away from the Other sports section. It is kind of annoying to have to go through three sub menus just to see what other people are chatting about with the dolphins. Although I can see a point that you dont want the whole first page flooded with south florida teams. Whats up?
March 25, 200620 yr Kinda funny, I've gotten like 10 PM's in 2 days telling me how awesome it is to have it after having a few asking me to make it for awhile. This is the first negative view of it so far...
March 25, 200620 yr it keeps things more organized, but takes away from the other sports main forum *shrugs*
March 25, 200620 yr Well it was a chain reaction. The Daily Puck was created, and to be fair the other two major South Florida sports received their own subforums. The subforums don't take anything away from the Other Sports. You still have general NBA, NFL, NHL, CBALL, NASCAR, and just about every other sport imaginable.
March 25, 200620 yr Author well i just think it is easier to read about all the sports on one page instead of going through a scavenger hunt. But it is more organized and leaves some of topics on the front page that wouldnt get the same response had they been on page number 2. As for the whole daily puck. I kind of like that idea, beacuse hockey isnt such a popular sport to all the members but those who are fluent in the sport can talk all day about it. Leaving the first page open to non hockey fans and letting them have their own hockey only section.

March 26, 200620 yr I really like the idea...does keep things more organized and makes sense to have something like this

March 26, 200620 yr Author Wow! you dont agree with one thing which is minimal and posters come out of the woodworks to argue. I was just giving my feedback on the whole new south florida sports sub forum not asking for an argument
March 26, 200620 yr i was actually just about to post a thread about this, suggesting that the three subforums be put directly under Other Sports. in fact, i think i liked the previous setup better (where there was only a panthers subforum) for my own ulterior motives. it kept panthers talk to a minimum and i didn't have to see it in Other Sports.
March 26, 200620 yr Author It's way too space consuming to have the 3 forums as sub forums in other sports is that hinting towards a change :mischief2
March 26, 200620 yr THe Panthers forum was great because even though it was an Other Sports subforum you could still access it from the main page, but now that it's under the South Florida Sports subforum/section, that extra click makes a difference for those of us who have to use 56k during the day. Laugh all you want, say that making an extra click is no big deal, but it takes 10 minutes just to browse all 3 forums with all that extra clicking involved being on 56k during the day at work. When i'm at home on my DSL though, it doesn't make a difference though.
March 26, 200620 yr I think we should use the subforums only when that particular sport is in season. Since the threads on the south florida teams aren't of a very high voume when they're not playing (especially when grouped together as part of a league-wide thread), it'll take up less space. But when the thread numbers go up in season, back comes the subforum. Just my opinion.

March 26, 200620 yr I agree with you for the most part (aside from Dolphins...Everyone talks about Fins no matter what time of year).
March 26, 200620 yr Well the idea is to gauge interest in the forums, as with all sub forums which gave gone away if the traffic in them is bad I'll close them.
March 26, 200620 yr Well that's the prob with every forum decision ever made here, never going to have everyone like an idea. Only way to see how it goes is to give the forums a try and see how it works. Some forums (Tech Support for example) tried and failed. However some forums (Babes) have been a great success. And in both cases there were some people against the idea and some for the idea.
