March 31, 200620 yr These kids are at the Marlins baseball st field This one is filmed in Boynton Beach and the Marlins sent their totally tricked beautiful motorcoach to pick up these kids while they re-did their ball park that was destroyed by Wilma.
March 31, 200620 yr i watched it, it was really nice. those kids were so happy to see dontrelle willis. they were ecstatic. it was nice to see.
March 31, 200620 yr that coach is such a pu**y. that's exactly what i was thinking. I'm guessing you don't have kids. I thought that coach was awesome. It takes a real man to show his emotions like that.

March 31, 200620 yr Hmm.. wonder if we can get them to build the Marlins a new stadium. good call! :lol When Loria can't come through, call ABC's Extreme Home Makeover!
March 31, 200620 yr What did the coach do? cry like a bitch at least 4-5 times I get it.. You're the tough type that doesn't show emotions. Being happy for your kids and being overcome with emotion is a sign of weakness.... You know, in normal baseball discussions, I've always respected what you have to say. Your posts have always been well written and I think I agree with a lot you say... But I've just lost some respect for you bro. It really irritates me to see such immaturity to insult a guy who has been so overcome with emotion that it led him to tears. I'll admit, when I saw that, I got that little ball in my throat and teary eyes. It was very touching. When I saw those kids crying when they didn't have a field, and to see that coach so dedicated to his kids.. all I could think of was my own son. So if that makes me a "pu**y", then I'd rather be that than a prototypical emotionless a-hole.

The first two times I saw him crying I could empathize. But when they showed him crying the third, fourth time then I thought he had gone overboard. I don't think he's a weak man or p***y because of it. I was just being all macho when I wrote that, I guess.
March 31, 200620 yr this show plays off emotions and of course he was getting emotional but it wasn't like the timing was bad the announcement of the project, meeting the big leagers, the showing of the new park the guy was touched that a community would rally for these kids and he was grateful to them - i seriously doubt he spent every minute sobbing, but with nice editing he did cry alog - but every moment was understandable
March 31, 200620 yr What you didn't see is they sprayed him with mace right before they put him on camera.
March 31, 200620 yr I thought it was very touching too. It's so nice to see little kids who love baseball so much! Did anyone catch the very begining of the show? Ty said something like "no county gets hit by hurricanes the way Broward does." Obviously wrong but then they also said that Boynton Beach was a city in Broward County. It makes me wonder what other things have been said on the show about specific areas that were inaccurate. Not a big deal really but I tend to notice little inaccuracies like that.
