Joe Arriolla

Featured Replies

According to an interview on CBS news, Joe Arriolla is on the brink of resigning his post.

Now here's the question - despite the Marlins no longer on speaking terms with the city of Miami, could this change the situation a bit?

Only slightly.

Whoever replaces him would have to be pretty pro-Marlins and free-stadium to change the situation.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news here but I do believe that the stadium in miami bridge has been burned and Arriola has since pissed on the ashes numerous times.

it can only be good news for the Marlins if this happens

The only reason it would help (as Arriola is simply the front man for Diaz and his band of cronies) is the cash flow from CDT that having Miami back in the equation would bring, thus closing the funding gap.

I'll see what I can find out.

If things in Hialeah fall apart I'd like to see the Marlins go back to the city of Miami to see if something can still be worked out.

But there is no reason to potentially burn the Stadium in Hialeah Bridge (the true progress of the construction of this bridge is still in question) to try and cross the burned remains of the Stadium in Miami Bridge.

More options available is best for the Marlins and their fans(, but not necessarily the tax payers)

We just have to get rid of Manny Diaz, and it would hurt to see Samson depart either.

won't change a thing. voters here dont want a public stadium.

So says the vote that was placed in front of the public, right?
