April 2, 200620 yr I put down 7 dollars yesterday (made a thread in 'Other')... Anyone else put monetary support for the Fish? I stand to win 1,750 dollars. I will use 350 dollars to buy as many Fish Tank tickets as possible if I win and get a huge group of people for a game next year.
April 2, 200620 yr If you wanted to piss away $7, give it to me and i'll at least do a naked dance for you.
April 2, 200620 yr Author Where can we put down these bets? Any online sports book. A lot of us here use bodog.com
April 2, 200620 yr I'll probably take the over on 64.5 wins, though I like some other over/unders much more.
April 2, 200620 yr The payoff on a $7 wager for the Marlins to win it all should be 1 Million. I'd say 1 Billion, but you can't rule it out 100%. I can see how sites like Bodog make their money. If Admin would permit it, I'd put 1 Million in trust and offer any of you 10,000 to 1 on the bet. Next time you want to part with $7, buy lottery tickets, or feed a family in Nigeria for a month for $5, buy a $1 lottery ticket, and bet $1 on the Marlins.

I'll give 10 dollars from my winnings to Nigeria. That's double what your sorry ass offered.

I'm a big fan of the Marlins and have been since 1993. I've bet on the Marlins many years. Just being realistic this year. Learn to read too. I didn't offer anything to Nigeria in my last post. Bet more on the over than I did anything else...figured that one was winnable. That is the only one that at least has some chance. The others are pipe dreams.
April 2, 200620 yr Author LOL nice crack on FSU? You should get out more, my man. You obviously don't understand social behavior of college students, because my comment was made more in jest than anything. You don't come into my thread, with an arrogant tone and uncalled for comment, and then make fun of the school I go to. InstiGATOR!
April 2, 200620 yr The fish have a 1/250 odds of winning it all stated espn but screw dat its not dat hard 2 belive :thumbup

Anyway, I was just giving my opinion of the odds on the Marlins chances. I'd engage the rest of your comments but it's not worth the time. Too easy to win this "fight". I'll save my comments for a more worthy discussion. . . .Fish4Life....on the over/under you can wager any amount you'd like. It's a straight 1/1 payoff. You bet 100, you in 100, or you lose 110. If you're interested in making a larger wager, then there are some sites that are offering 130 to people willing to bet 100 on the over.
April 2, 200620 yr I know you wager as much as you like but whats the point of putting down 100 to win the 100 back... Its -115 on the Over correct?

April 3, 200620 yr I know you wager as much as you like but whats the point of putting down 100 to win the 100 back... Its -115 on the Over correct? If you put $100 down at -115 you win your original risk back ($100) plus about $85. Total return is about $185. I got 50-1 to win the NL East. This was before they played well in Spring Training. $20 to win $1,000. Bodog has some pretty easy lines let me tell you... What do you mean by "easy" lines?

On a -115 line as here, the easiest way to look at is you put down 115 to get back if you win a total of 215. 115 plus the 100 you win. On most places, you couldn't bet 100. You could bet in multiples of 11.50 to win 10. The closest you could get would be 103.50 to win 90. . . . This is how baseball games everyday are wagered on. The line depends on the team with heavy emphasis on the starting pitchers. The Marlins this year will be +200 to +400 in most of their games. The other team -220 to -420 in just about all their games that Willis does not start. That's 130 games. Pick your spots. They'll probably win 45-50 of these games. Pick the right game, especially if on the road, and you can double or triple your money on one game.

They had a prop last night, Will there be a run in the first inning...(White Sox, Indians) -230 for NO...
