April 5, 200619 yr Hey have you guys caught these first two games on MLB.tv? If you have, what the hell's been up with it? It's just like a video feed with the Houston radio as the audio... :plain It is. Games arent usually like that.
April 5, 200619 yr Hey have you guys caught these first two games on MLB.tv? If you have, what the hell's been up with it? It's just like a video feed with the Houston radio as the audio... :plain It was like that for the Boston-Texas game as well.
April 5, 200619 yr Author Games arent usually like that. that's good! That's not how it was last season... Oh, I'm watching the LA/ATL game now, and its the 'normal' way... the thing I hate most about how these 2 Marlins games have been broadcast is that there are no graphics...if I'm not paying 100% attention, I dont know who's on base, or how many outs or anything!
April 5, 200619 yr If you buy any of the old world series games (game 6 in 2003) it's similar to the games now: no graphics from fox sports, watching baseball players take the field instead of commercials, etc. The top of the player also says ESPN now so that might have something to do with it. My guess is b/c of licensing agreements and who has legal control over what or something like that. The picture quality is better than last year for sure.
April 5, 200619 yr Yeah it's a little annoying. Not sure why they are doing it that way. On a side note they have done a hell of job improving MLB.tv this year. The quality is much much better and everything in general has been improved.
April 5, 200619 yr Author On a side note they have done a hell of job improving MLB.tv this year. The quality is much much better and everything in general has been improved. Yea! I love it! I don't even maximize the video player!... Unlike last year where it was soo small that I had to do a fullscreen while sitting 25 feet back! lmao Great job MLB!! :thumbup hopefully they don't change the price at all... what do you guys have? I'm on the all access package...it rules for the condensed games and all!
April 5, 200619 yr it's probably over the commercials that are showed on the TV... at times they cut out the radio commercials too, but they haven't been too consistent with that.
April 5, 200619 yr is there a way to maximize mlb.tv? im running on a mac... shouldn't matter but just sayin it just in case.
April 5, 200619 yr Is it just my computer or is there buffering every two effing seconds? mine does it once in a while, but not enough to piss me off.. the radio dubbed over tv thing is pissing me off a lot though..
April 5, 200619 yr is there a way to maximize mlb.tv? im running on a mac... shouldn't matter but just sayin it just in case. Nope that only worked with real player, damn windows.... Think they are bringing a new media player out in a couple of weeks. BTW anyone got any of the condensed games yet, wanted to watch marlins one and it wasn't available. 2003 Game six on mlb.tv was originally in real player with the commentry team that always does the world series, will have changed when they have swapped to windows.
April 6, 200619 yr man... i was hopin to watch em full screen. oh well... these have still been 3 excellent games even in the small box

Umm...you CAN fullscreen the games...right click 'zoom' thats how I was watching em  also, they had a condensed game link for the 4/4/06 game...but it was for white sox/indians...lol the highlights have worked
April 7, 200619 yr the first two games were broadcasted with the Astro radio announcers, then the third was a FSN Marlins TV broadcast. Not sure why they did that. I have All-Access as well. Well worth the $$$. I can't watch Yankees or Mets home games on MLB.tv, so having the All-Access, I can listen to it on the radio when the Fish come into town, (I live 3.5 hours away, yet it's still considered their market, therefore it's blacked out.)
April 7, 200619 yr It seems this year that they are running both the home and away team video feeds for each game, but its entirely random as to which one you will get. Its worth reloading the player a few times if you want the Marlins feed and it doesnt come up right away.
April 7, 200619 yr the first two games were broadcasted with the Astro radio announcers, then the third was a FSN Marlins TV broadcast. Not sure why they did that. Apparently, they've done that with a lot of the other games as well: A radio broadcast with one of the raw TV feeds (only full-screen graphics; no score-overlay). The game archive is an actual TV broadcast, though. It's very strange... Yesterday, as both the Yankees and Marlins were off, I decided to see how they set up the Tigers-Rangers game. I tuned in 15 minutes before the start of the game, and I got the Rangers KDFI 27 feed for the picture and their radio team for the audio. I saw this for maybe 8 minutes or so. Suddenly, the picture changed to some Comcast Sports baseball show. It stuck with this past the time of the first pitch. Then the connection went dead. When I clicked play, it showed the game, but now with the full Tigers' FSN feed, graphics, announcers, and all. So I guess you really never know what you're going to get...
April 7, 200619 yr is mlb.tv working for anyone right now? i logged trying to watch the indians game and a screen saying i have to purchase it pops up, when I click buy, it says i've already bought it? tried to call customer service, and i just get a busy tone
April 7, 200619 yr I have not had any problems with MLB TV, Im running at about 950 Kbps, good picture and no frezzing at all. Takes about 5 sec for the game to load.
April 7, 200619 yr Was anyone else sick of listening to the Astros announcers? I was looking around for a mute button after the first half-inning. I didn't think they were very professional at all. They were constantly belittling the Fish, talking about how half of them won't be in the majors halfway through the season, acting like it was a freakin' miracle that any of them were able to field a ground ball or get a base hit, and just being obviously biased over the course of the game. I halfway enjoyed the second game once we got a good lead built up. The announcers kind of had to stick their foot in their mouth once they ran out of excuses for the 'Stros bein' down.

April 8, 200619 yr And listen to the mets announcers now, I really have never liked the mets announcers, going on for half an hour about the fans boooooing.

For example, they said in game 1 that it was hanley's first ML at bat, which isnt true, he had a few with the red sox.
April 8, 200619 yr Hey guys do yourself a favor Buy the MLB cable package for your TV and watch all the games with no buffering. You can even listen to Hall of Fame broadcaster and living legend, Vin Scully, do about 115 of the Dodger games.
