Posted September 14, 200321 yr this umpire shouldn't umpire in the nl when his brother plays in the nl,can bud selig do anything about this!
September 14, 200321 yr Author Did you see his freaking calls i think he needs a freaking microscope to see the freaking ball!
September 14, 200321 yr HUGE CONFLICT OF INTEREST!It's so amazing how MLB can allow Jim Wolf to call a Marlins game. Like I have been saying, designate him to the American League.Unbelievable how this is being allowed.
September 14, 200321 yr IMO he doesn't make it obvious to the average fan but when it's a border line call he will go against the Marlins. It happend all day. It has happend all year. Move his Fat A** to the AL.
September 14, 200321 yr Author And also loop did stupid i wish we woulda let urbina hit in the 8th and let him closeit!
September 14, 200321 yr And also loop did stupid i wish we woulda let urbina hit in the 8th and let him closeit! That's rediculous.
September 14, 200321 yr I say suspend the phillies from the wildcard race! That has to be The dumbest Post ever, I thought Pudgebobudge was gone?
September 14, 200321 yr I say we ban you from these boards. You are insane if you think Wolf is making calls against the Marlins on purpose.
September 14, 200321 yr And also loop did stupid i wish we woulda let urbina hit in the 8th and let him closeit! English.... do you speak it?
September 14, 200321 yr He was really awful today. he was calling very low strikes and the Marlins werent happy with it. We gotta do something about this
September 14, 200321 yr It's so funny, you guys talk about a conflict of interest with Jim Wolf umpiring the games. Don't you think it's a conflict of interest for MARLINS FANS to be judging how good Jim Wolf is umpiring? Geez, every time Wolf made a semi-borderline call, you guys cry out "suspend Wolf!" Please. I watched the game too, and I saw plenty of borderline balls and strikes that went the Marlins way. But as a Marlin fan, you're not going to remember the calls that go our way, only the one's that didn't. Let's not blame Looper, who allowed 4 hits (all hit sharply) and didn't fool anybody. Let's not blame Conine who left 5 men on base. Naw...it's Jim Wolf's fault we lost. Please.
September 14, 200321 yr I don't have any hard feelings to Wolf. I feel bad for him actually. He shouldn't be in there umping these games because he is being looked at with a freaking microscope. We lost the game, get over it. Wolf did NOT cost us this game.
September 14, 200321 yr Author I say we ban you from these boards. You are insane if you think Wolf is making calls against the Marlins on purpose. How bout no,i say we ban you for saying that we "DIDN'T"lose because of wolf!
September 14, 200321 yr I just got an email from a person who thinks I'm the Marlins I guess. How can the manager replace Urbina who pitched a superb eigth inning with Looper who is a really bad pitcher. We need at least a 5 run lead before we can rely on Looper....everyone of our bull pen could have saved the win except Looper. The Marlins played their hearts out to win this game only to have McKeon blow it when they took out Urbina. You wonder why the fans are disappointed!!! I blame McKeon! How come everybody knows this but the manager!  My reply: Hey, First of all, thanks for ranting to me but there is a forum for this - http://forum.marlinsbaseball.com BTW, your logic is severely flawed. We are in this position because of McKeon and Looper mainly. I take it you are a bandwagon fan or you'd know that. The fans are disappointed in a crappy outcome? Of course, but don't put the blame on McKeon. We would NOT be in the race if he didn't take this team over. -Admin
September 14, 200321 yr Yo shoulda played along.^^^^^^ I do not do that. Whenever someone thinks I'm the fish and asks a question -- I forward it to the team.
September 14, 200321 yr I say we ban you from these boards. You are insane if you think Wolf is making calls against the Marlins on purpose. It is funny, because when we brought this issue up earlier, Ramp and others were saying that this conflict of interest with WOlf the umpire was ridiculous. I pointed out it was a problem of perception, not necessarily one of reality. Redman pointed this out. And now, even Ramp and others have come over to our side because it makes sense. So Mave, I pose this question to you. Would you let Wolf umpire behind the plate when his brother was on the mound? And to make it even more critical, how about when Wolf was facing the Marlins? You see, you cant get around it. I say we ban you for not using any of that grey matter stuck between your ears before you bring such bold statements. You may be the one with mental issues...
September 14, 200321 yr What he said^^^^ It's nice you think for yourself. I love how The Marlins are never blamed for a loss, like DownRodeo said, it's not Looper's fault, The Bravos didn't win because of their amazing O, it was all because of Jim Wolf.
