Posted September 14, 200321 yr the next thing to pat attention to right now is the biggest series of the season so far, Marlins/phillies, what do you think will happen?? The pitching matchups are... Pavano/Padilla Redman/myers Willis(probable)/telemaco we have a good chance of winning some games, and the only way phillie can be in the lead for the wild card after this series is if they sweep, huge series, the board should be packed, its gona be great!
September 14, 200321 yr Padilla has been great for the phillies but Pavano has had his good starts for us also, so that game will be good. Redman/Myers well redman has been pitching a little bad his last couple of starts. Lets see what happens. For sure we might win the last game. Willis is pitching for sure there has been articles on it. Willis has pitched tremendous he has won back to back starts. Overall we might win 2 out of 3
September 14, 200321 yr 2 out of 3 would be awesome! We would then be up 2.5 right? Yes,we would be two games up on Philadelphia.
September 14, 200321 yr 2 out of 3 would be awesome! We would then be up 2.5 right? yeah unless the dodgers sweep their next series. Which means they would be 1.5 back

September 15, 200321 yr I would rather have Tele in, Millwood is too damn streaky And sucks the big one against Florida.
September 15, 200321 yr Well this is it. No looking back now. Weve come this far. What's done is done, let's not reflect on past games but on the ones that are on the horizon. Weve had a magical season, one that rivals the 97 season and arguably better. Weve battled injuries, losing streaks, and the insecurity that our players mightve been traded away. We are going into Philadelphia with a 1.5 game lead. Our team is invigorated, they know what they are capable of, they know how finely tuned their talents and skills are. The Marlins are ready for the final two weeks, what happens in these two weeks will dictate our future. We are in control, we know what we have to do....and we will prevail. We are going right for their throats, and there is no force that can stop us now. HERE COME YOUR 2003 FLORIDA MARLINS!!! P.S. :fish :fish :fish :jump EVERYBODY'S DOING THE FISH, YEAH YEAH YEAH!!! :jump
September 15, 200321 yr I had the song "Eye of the Tiger" going through my head while reading that. "Risin' up -- back on the street, Did my time, took my chances Went the distance now i'm back on my feet Just a man and his will to survive -- So many times, it happens too fast, You trade your passion for glory, Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past, You must fight just to keep them alive *it's the eye of the tiger, It's the thrill of the fight, Rising up to the challenge of our rival, And the last known survivor Stalks his prey in the night, And he's watching us all With the eye of the tiger.* Face to face -- out in the heat, Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry They stack the odds still we take to the street For the kill, with the skill to survive -- Risin' up -- straight to the top, Had the guts, got the glory Went the distance, now i'm not gonna stop Just a man and his will to survive --"
September 15, 200321 yr yes but phillie might use millwood instead of telemaco It will be Millwood... not Telemaco who is pitching on Thursday. Just wanted to give you a friendly "good luck" before the BATTLE begins. Regardless who comes out "on top", this is extremely exciting for both clubs and both sets of fans. As far as taking 2 out of 3 in Philly..... you'll need more than luck, you'll need a miracle. Remember you are coming into the PHILADELPHIA... the city of Brotherly SHOVE! The phans will be out to support the Phillies in droves this week, as the Eagles have sucked. :arms Go Phillies! :arms

September 15, 200321 yr Hey thanks! And if the Phillies end up in the WS this year, I'll be sure to send you a ticket! Seriously, if the Phillies don't make the post season, I will end up rooting for the Marlins because I've always gotta root for the underdogs! But of course, I hope in the end, I will be rooting for my Phillies as underdogs in the post season!

September 15, 200321 yr I believe this is a huge series. The biggest so far this year. I'm so nervous, however I trust our team. Letting the Phils take 2 out of 3 may be too dangerous. I know the Marlins will show up, and give there 110% to win every single game. This is the time to close the deal and gain some meaningful ground on the WC. I hope for 2, but 3 WINS would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are capable of sweeping this series, no matter if we are coming to the Vet.
