April 18, 200620 yr Good news from Alburquerque as Jason "Light Tower" Stokes went 4-5 last night. He had a homer, a double and three RBI's. LT's average is now up to a respectable .263. Unfortunately the pitching wasn't there last night as Petit had a poor outing - 5.1 inning, 6 runs, 3 BB's, 3K's and 3 HR's allowed. Resop seems to be taking his demotion well - he pitched two scoreless innings with a K. Topes were unable to sweep the four game series as they lost a sluggfest to New Orleans, 11-8.
April 18, 200620 yr Good job, he couldn't have been much colder. If he gets it together in the next couple of weeks, I think he will get his shot. He and Jakey are both pretty much all or nothing, so whoever is hot would play. (Old Jack's Hot Hand Theory)

I don't imagine we'll see Stokes in center. I've always said that the only way we'll see Stokes is if Jacobs is a bust. That's looks like it could happen unfortunately.

April 20, 200620 yr I've always thought Stokes to be one of the three or four most talented players we've ever drafted, so I'd be excited to see him given a chance. I mean, right now Jacobs isn't doing anything well...not even defense, so Stokes may get that chance.
