Krispy, when is your prom?

From my senior year prom (the other two are similar)

 

Went in a pretty good sized stretch SUV. Pretty sure it was one of those Lincolns or something similar. I'd shoot myself if I was still with the girl I took to Prom that year. After I went to a party and then like 12 or 14 of us crashed at a friends house.

 

I'll tell you the same thing I told my brother last week (his senior prom was this year as well)...

 

Not to piss on your party but hopefully you try not to make it as big of a deal as most people do (I did do that for 3 years sadly) because when you look back on it, you will see how not a big deal as you think it is and that actually it was never as exciting or amazing as you think it is at the time. If you just go with the flow, have a date that is going to be fun at the prom (as much as I dislike my GF senior year now, she was a blast at the prom), and just have fun with the actual dancing and stuff you will enjoy yourself. People always got too crazed with pictures, the ride, and the dinner instead of looking forward most to the dancing and festivities.

My prom kinda sucked, to be honest. I didn't go with the person I wanted to go with and everything went wrong that day. I ended up going with some loser who never even got me a corsage and the limo driver got lost on the way to my house. :plain

 

I was invited this year so hopefully this prom will be better.

i went with 2 friends and this guy that one of them hungout with. sadly though i rode in the car with the guy i really didnt know (he went in his pickup). first we stopped at his grandma's so he can change his tongue ring :plain and then i spent the rest of the drive literally praying to God to let me make it to prom in one peice. craziest driver ive been in a car with, wanted killed my friend for suggesting i ride with him. the nigth wasnt bad, probably the best part though came after the actual dance. just hungout with some people at denny's for a few hours, my friend's car got locked in a lot he accidentally parked in so we spent a while trying to break into the lot and then find who owned it when we realized we suck at breaking the law. :lol not the most fun ive ever had but it was cool, id do it again except for riding with that crazy fool. like passion said, dont stress it to much. just go and enjoy it but dont be going crazy over the extra stuff.

My last prom was 4 years ago...but I voted to the best of my memory. I woke up laying at the foot of a hide a bed with 2 other dudes at the front of the bud under the covers, and my friend chad in a recliner next to the bed where he had wet himself.

I didn't go to my HS prom, and I don't remember what I did that day instead, although I can tell you it was nothing exciting.

I went to 2 proms but the answers to both were the same...same girl even. :confused

 

Limo, yes, tux, no, hotel.

 

It was a lot of fun back then but I can't say I'd want to do it over now or anything. As it is I'm skipping the college version of prom this year (fraternity formal) so I guess that shows how invested I am in this sort of thing.

Prom is overrated, but it's also what you make of it. Like JJ said, if you have a sh*tty date who doesn't have fun you're gonna have a crappy time. But if you have a fun date, you plan the afterparty right, it'll be a night you'll remember. I'll never forget my junior prom just because the afterparty was so crazy.

 

I do wish I had that money back, though.

Prom's great if you're with your friends. Junior and Senior years about 5 of my friends and our dates all went back to a friend's house and it was just a lot of fun.

 

The only thing to be worried about is someone who tries to make too big a deal out of it, that's the kind of guy/girl who ruins the night. Pictures are important, looking good is important, but you're high-schoolers so anytime someone has that "primetime" attitude it's best to just try to ignore them or settle them down.
