Thursday's Game Time Changed

Hey, I was just about to make a suggestion that they do this...they beat me to it.

What does this mean? It means Willis gets to make his start as scheduled, which I think is a good thing.

It might mean that Pudge doesn't play on Thursday, which is not a good thing, but then again it might mean Lieberthal doesn't play on Thursday, which could be a good thing the way he hits us.

And it makes tonight's game more important. The momentum from tonight's game should carry directly over to Thursday's day game. The Marlins really need to get something going early tonight.

Phillies change Thursday's start

By Ken Mandel / MLB.com Get tickets

PHILADELPHIA -- Because of the threat of Hurricane Isabel, Thursday's game between the Marlins and Phillies has been moved from 7:05 p.m. to 1:05 p.m.

The storm is expected to hit the Philadelphia area by late Thursday, and concerns about significant rainfall and high winds led to the switch. Thursday's game between the Orioles and Yankees at Camden Yards in Baltimore was also moved up.

There was no other possible date to reschedule the game this late in the season. The Marlins have a game scheduled for Sept. 22 -- originally scheduled to be an offday -- and Sept. 29 must be left open for a possible Wild Card tiebreaker.

Thursday night's tickets can be used for the afternoon game. Fans who are unable to attend may exchange them for Wednesday's game or for any other game this weekend against the Reds, Sept. 19-21, or for either game against the Braves on Sept. 26 or 27, subject to availability. They may not be exchanged for the final game at the Vet, on Sept. 28.

Tickets may be exchanged in advance at any Veterans Stadium advanced ticket window or at any podium level ticket window on the day of the game attended.
