September 18, 200321 yr Conine knocked out of his slump a few games ago,when you could see he was seeing the ball better,making contact and smacking the ball. But tonight, he has totally exploded,he has done done everything right,wonderous defense,solid power,good patience at the plate,arm strength. My man....I never doubted you Niner. :thumbup

He had a ridiculous catch for the DP, admitted Jimmy Rollins into the S.M.O.K.E.D. club, and has 3 RBIs all by his lonesome. Way to go Niner!

This is proof that the deal we made, Bautista/Levinski for Conine is worth it. Conine led the charge tonight. He did it all and has emerged, almost immediately, as the leader of this team - well he and Pudge. Remember, Conine has a ring with World Champs written on it, won right here in Miami back in '97. That brings credibility - and belief. This team believes. This will be one of the best moves the Marlins did to help secure this franchise and resurrect its legacy. Cant say enough about Conine's game tonight and its impact.
