Hotcorner
Not making predictions, just some likely possibilities. We've got a 1/2 game lead right now. 4 in Atlanta while Philly has 3 with the Reds. Let's say Philly takes 2 of 3 with Cincy, and we split with the Braves. That would have us tied going into our series at home with them next week. Not only are we very good at home, but we also have the Mets in the series after that while Philly gets the Braves. I still think we have a good chance.

AJBurnett34
We have played the Braves good all year and last year too. This is going to be a tough schedule up to we play the Mets. The Offense just needs to do what is was doing before. Clutch hitting....
Admin
This is going to be a tough schedule up to we play the Mets. The Mets are going to be tougher than alot of people think. They are not going to roll over and are going to play that series like it's the playoffs. Trust me when I say it'll give them great pleasure to knock us out of the playoffs. Hanleylicious
this was our chance to really put this thing away (this series) and we blew it miserably before this series everyone was talking about being up 2.5 now seems like we're hoping to be tied for the WC lead after this next series

What about next series against the Phillies. I'm not getting overly excited about 'only' being a half game up, and neither should you. The Marlins also could have given the Phillies the lead in the wc, but instead we have a half game lead. Only a few weeks ago we would have been very excited about having a half game lead (see: nightmare road trip).

FreshFish
I'm not waving the white flag, but I'm very concerned. Being tied with the Phillies or the facing them with one game behind may prove to be too much pressure for this young team. No matter what, this has been a great season for the fish. And most importantly, the Fish have their fate on their own hands.

I've been thinking about this a lot. The braves are probably going with their reserves to play hte last series with the Phillies; even if they don't have home field advtg, they already clinched the playoff. I hate to say it, but we wasted a precious opportunity.
flasportsfan88
You reely think we're gona go 1-3 to a team that has nothing to loose. look at the way weve played um this year, we could of very easily just swept them, i dont think 3-1 is out of the question, id be ok with 2-2, but i wouldnt be extatic
Hugg
The Braves are barely hanging on to home-field right now, so they have plenty to lose. Do you really think they want the Giants to have that advantage? Pac Bell is probably the biggest home field advantage in the National League (I'm sure Cubs fans would argue). Home field may be a little overrated, but I'm sure in their minds they'd rather play a potential game 7 in Atlanta, not San Francisco.
