May 22, 200620 yr Last year, by May 1, the only bullpen arm that I thought looked good was Todd Jones. This year, the only bullpen arm that''s looked good is Martinez.
May 22, 200620 yr I was at the game Friday and Kensing had pitched very well. Borowski not only gave up the tying hR, he almost blew the game entirely. I'm glad that Girardi is giving guys a chance to be succesful instead of sticking with what doesn't works (Borowski). The only reason Borowski has had a job the last two years is because he notced a 30 save year a few ago. Teams are hoping he can regain that form when in reality it was just an incredible fluke.

That's what this season is all about. Enjoy watching the kids develop and don't worry about the loses. I mean really, what's one win more or less when you have no shot at the play-offs. Since we went with young players I say we go young all the way.
May 22, 200620 yr Why Girardi why? You can't possibly believe he has a better chance of closing a 1 run game than Joe Borowski. Could you be that stubborn? The way he handles the pen makes me wanna scream. Will we ever win again? Borowski and Herges have demonstrated that they are not going to have trade value for playoff contenders. Throw kids at the job until somebody sticks.

THE MOST LOGICAL POST ON THESE BOARDS IN A LONG TIME.......if we are losing with the veterans who the heck cares if we lose with the youngsters....at least they are getting experience at the big level...why lose two years in a row? If we get rid of the veterans next season you have another year of losses with the youngsters...let's start rebuilding the future TODAY not tomorrow...I was always told that tomorrow never comes...today is what counts.... May 23, 200620 yr I was at Sat's game and the shot that kensing gave in the 9th made me want to rip out my chair and throw it on to the field. I knew the game was lost when he was warming up during the top of the 9th. Borowski was the logical choice to me because if he gave up the shot I would have known that it was the best option.
