HARRY POTTER to take the throne in 9 days
July 4, 200719 yr I saw it yesterday. It was 'aight'. Definitely the best of the summer blockbusters (sh*t-Man 3, Pirates 3, Shrek 3) that I've seen (not saying much, but still) and it's pretty visually awesome but it had a lot of crappy points. It was too long and there was one scene and a whole plot line that could have been cut out to me to make it more enjoyable. The Aussie and her decoding of the sound and Anthony Anderson's bit and then the atrocious scene where they had to rig the computer to send the signal was so bad. I'd have liked just the Sam/Mikaela (sp) and soldiers storyline with a little bit of the government involvement thrown in I also hated that random black, hip-hop robot. He sucked. I did like Shia LaBeouf in this. A lot. Kid is talented as hell and without him or someone in a similar vein the movie would have been a disaster but he kept it together and I really liked his line delivery. The battle scenes are spectacular and really elevated the movie. Good looking movie, generally entertaining, and the best of the summer blockbusters by a considerable margin. Just needed a lot of fat trimming and tightening of plotlines to be very good. 6/10 6/10 huh. cool. Im currious tho which movies do you think deserve 9/10 or 10/10? Amadeus, On The Waterfront, Schindler's List, Memento, The Insider, The Godfather, Bonnie and Clyde, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Braveheart, The Professional, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Hoop Dreams, etc.

Anyhow, I thought it was a good movie. I really enjoyed it.

July 6, 200719 yr This was a sweet movie, basically anything you would expect out of your big summer blockbuster...the good ones, anyway.
July 8, 200719 yr I liked it. Thought it was entertaining and really reminded me of the original. I agree with Fox that those scences probably could have been cut off. One part that annoyed me: The whole time the humans were holding Bumblebee and spraying him/torturing him, LaBeouf never comes out and just tells them that some are good, some are bad, Bumblebee is good and they need to get the thing to Optimus Prime. He just kept throwing random tidbits like "yeah that's Megatron." Just come out and say it!! But overall the movie was good.
