just call it Tropical Watch 2000s. It's just one large hurricane decade. No season.

In all honesty, it'll pass over the Yucatan, and probably stall in the Gulf for a minute?

(PS--this is based on know knowledge of fronts in the area, so basically ya, it's me guessing....but I'm right!)

Looks like you still have some hurricane supplies from last year, including the ever present haterade. You might want some waaaawaaaater.

Looks like you still have some hurricane supplies from last year, including the ever present haterade. You might want some waaaawaaaater. To your first statement. It will not stall IMO. It might slow down for a little while but it won't stall. It won't pass over the Yucatan. Unless the High Pressure ridge migrates eastward. There is also a trough digging down, if it gets down far enough, it'll pull the system towards a more southerly landfall on the West Coast. Right now, I am going to say the highest risk area for a landfall if this forms where the current low is, is from Tampa to Biloxi with the highest risk area near the Big Bend.

All bets are off, of course, if the low level center reforms under what appears to be the midlevel center to the northeast. That would likely mean a stronger storm with a South Florida impact. That being said, this will make it to at most a Category one. June is just not conducive to development.

To your second statement...

Bring it on...Bitch!

:D

We have high windows and the homeowner's association Nazis sent a letter to us:

Your hurricane shutters cannot go up before a threat of a hurricane and must be taken down within 72 hours after the storm passes.

Like, the hurricane shutters being up after the storm passes is really going to devalue my home?!?!?!?! :mischief2

well it was a nice 7 months while it lasted. cant wait for the end of november to come again.

And the season kicks off with a Charley-like route. Be prepared Capey!

If it goes a little south, we could get some nasty rains.

And ya, Tally could get it's first head-on collision in a while.

Argh... Nasty weather this week. I wonder if the Marlins will have some rainouts this homestand.

Working at blockbuster, this nasty weather is going to adversely affect my 'lounge' time at the store.

I have class this week (Mon-Thurs) and I dont know how fun it would be to drive 30 minutes in that weather.

A stupid question, but hey- it's me!

When does a Tropical Depression become a named storm? After a certain mph?

Just curious......

And thanks in advance for the answer, whoever you may be. :thumbup
