June 16, 200620 yr :lol That list is a joke. 1. Duncan 2. Kobe 3. Wade I love their reason for having Kobe 3rd, and how can you have Dirk 2nd? He hasn't done anything all finals.
June 16, 200620 yr I think Wade has proved thus far in his career that he is one of the most resilient and clutch players in the game.

June 16, 200620 yr Fair enough. By the way, Wade could have gone for 50+ tonight, but deferred late in the game--another testament to his greatness.

June 16, 200620 yr Wade is "resilient" because he's so "injured." Mark Jackson said during Dan Patrick's show that he didnt think Wade was injured and I agree with him.....so his "resiliency" really isn't that big.

Mark Jackson said during Dan Patrick's show that he didnt think Wade was injured and I agree with him.....so his "resiliency" really isn't that big. And of course since Mark Jackson and yourself think so it must be correct. Fact is he has played injured all season one way or another. The media is blowing this thing up so hard its rediculous. Everyone INCLUDING the Mavs are making a big deal out of this. Josh Howard is starting to make excuses and claims about Wade b/c he is getting owned. You know whats funny, the only person not making a big deal out of this himself, is Wade.
June 16, 200620 yr The media is overhyping a phantom injury....i'd be sick of hearing it too.... Thats right. They are blowing up a knee bruise. Stop hating already dude. Just wanted to throw in I don't agree with that list either. Wade has not won anything yet to justify this. Yes he is clutch down the stretch quite often but he still doesnt have that shiny ring that gives you elite status.
June 16, 200620 yr I can't speak for his sinus infection, but considering that I've been watching Wade play and repeatedly get banged up over three seasons, it's pretty easy for me to tell when he's playing hurt. Take game 3, for example. I missed almost the entire 3rd quarter (when he sustained the knee bruise), and when I get back to my apartment and turn on the TV, I see Wade driving to the rim, jumping up, and softly laying up the ball into the hoop. Knowing that he visibly loses elevation whenever his legs are banged up, settling for jumpshots and layups instead of dunks, my first immediate thought was, "damn, did he hurt his knees or something?" About a minute later I hear them talking about Wade's 'injury' and put two and two together. And while the results of his game 4 performance were phenomenal, anyone who has watched Heat basketball closely over the last couple of years could tell you he wasn't playing his game last night. Yeah, he sunk a ridiculous amount of jumpshots while rarely taking it to the rim, but that's not how he normally puts up his points. That said, ESPN is playing up his bangeduppedness to an unbelievable level. During the regular season, the run-of-the-mill knee bruise might have garnered one sentence of mention in the local papers, and Wade missing practice because of it might have warranted two sentences. In contrast, it's amazing--almost sickening--how much head ESPN has been giving to Dwyane Wade.
June 16, 200620 yr Author I think he wouldnt of been at the hospital till 4 am if he wasnt sick as per the records of the hospital right before the pistons games

In contrast, it's amazing--almost sickening--how much head ESPN gives to Dwyane Wade. Good point. The only people who would know about a knee bruise during the regular season is those who have him on a fantasy team. Tony and Eric even made a point last night in the post game that even though Wade has been putting up insane numbers he still isnt getting the elevation he usually gets and has looked timid at times taking it to the rim. Personally I like when Wade has an injury that won't bench him. I feel he plays a much more effecient game and limits his turnovers.
June 16, 200620 yr Fact is he has played injured all season one way or another. I have some beach front property in North Dakota for sale, if you're interested.

June 17, 200620 yr Fair enough. By the way, Wade could have gone for 50+ tonight, but deferred late in the game--another testament to his greatness. You didn't think he looked tired? Wade is real streaky. He can disappear for minutes at a time and then put up like 8 in 2 minutes. You could say passing was deferring or you could say he was too tired/sore to keep attacking.
June 17, 200620 yr Fair enough. By the way, Wade could have gone for 50+ tonight, but deferred late in the game--another testament to his greatness. thats ridiculous how is not scoring late in a game a testament to greatness? ill take Kobe for 1 game, becuase his 2nd half in Game 7 vs. PHX was just another testament to his greatness

June 17, 200620 yr Charles Barkely was clutch, didn't he put up insane numbers when the Suns made a run to the championship but Jordan got him.
