July 19, 200619 yr Great game by Sanchez to move to 3-0. He has continued to settle into the big leagues the last two starts or so.
July 19, 200619 yr If these last 2 starts are glimpses of his future, it makes me really excited. I'm really impressed by him. Keep it up Anibal! GO FISH!
July 19, 200619 yr Author Has he started showing more velocity on his fastball? I wasn't able to watch this game on TV, but he went from 88 MPH or so his first start, to 94 or so in his start prior to today.
July 19, 200619 yr If he can consistently hit around 92-94 would be great. He doesnt need to be a beckett/penny/burnett. But he has time to keep developing still too
July 19, 200619 yr Bangup job by Anibal today. I continue to look forward to seeing him every time he steps on the mound.
July 19, 200619 yr What's amazing is we have four rookie starting pitchers in the rotation ALL with winning records. And they all seem to be getting better with every start. I have no animous towards Brian Moehler but it is hard to see what possible role he could fill with the team going forward, certainly not as a starter, and probably not in the pen either even if Herges and Borowski aren't with the team come August 1st. He isn't going to start. He isn't going to setup or close, he's a man without a job essentially and I doubt he wants to be the mopup guy. My guess is the Fish would accomodate him if it was his wish to be traded.
