July 29, 200620 yr Hendry must just be so sick...one has to wonder if his job is on the line along with Dusty's? I read a blurb in the PBP today that the Cubs announced Dusty wouldn't lose his job this season. As far as Hendry goes, we'll see.

Since Hendry's making an announcement on it, it leads me to believe that he's considering firing him after the season.

Although the way that I see it, they did rip us off with the Derrek Lee trade. :mischief I really don't see it that way. We had $$ restrictions and could only keep a couple of guys. We kept Lowell and Sea Bass. DLee became expendable. Most fans understood that and were okay with it. He only averaged about a .255 BA with us and most everyone knew that would skyrocket in the "Friendly Confines" of CubbyTowne.
July 29, 200620 yr I would love to thank the Cubs as well. I would say we really did a great job scouting their minor leagues when we traded JP. Look at the players we got in return: Ricky Nolasco - we all know his stats. 9 wins, tied for team lead with Scott Olsen Renyel Pinto - brief stint with the club. 8-2, 3.40 ERA for AAA Albuquerque Sergio Mitre - started strong and then went to the DL. He's still got lots of promise
