Something going down?

I was in the players parking lot when they all came out and they seemed like whatever was said made them feel a lot better because all the players came out joking and seemed more awake then they had the entire weekend. I guess whatever was said in there really got the players pumped because they were horsing around and jumping on each other as they walked out.

As I said in another thread, it was becoming apparent tis wek, and especially last night that something has come over Cabrera and he is really developing into a team leader.

We've been seeing it on the field, it's good to see it's carrying over into the clubhouse as well.

I don't see that. Just earlier this week he had a "lazy" error. He had plenty of time to make throw but threw it off-balance and made a bad throw.

Sorry to keep posting and posting but I love how Miggy stepped up today in the clubhouse. He is becoming a great leader.. King Fish Miggy. I wonder who the other players were.

Several players, including slugger Miguel Cabrera, also offered their thoughts during the session

I doubt other players view Miguel as a leader. I think he's too lazy to be a leader. Is he the best player on the team? Yes. Is he a player the others look up to? I doubt it. Who are you to judge is he is lazy? He may appear to be.

But of course, we can determine how lazy he is just like we can tell how smug Derek Jeter is by looking at him!

And I fully doubt your assertion that the players don't look up to him. He's arguably the best young hitter at his age, that the game has seen in years. And if a player doesn't look up to that, they are stupid.

Thats nice to hear. Did you get any autographs/pictures etc:? Hopefully they come out Tuesday (My b-day  ) and get a much needed win.

I saw all the players and some of them said hi but I was just in there to give something to Cody Ross he had asked me for so I didn't have a camera or a baseball or anything else to sign.

That meeting sounded good. It should pump them up for this road trip. We'll get the Dodgers next time, but this time we will sweep them in there stadium or at least 2 out of 3. :thumbup

The other important guys probably, such as Hoover, abercrombie, and Herges.

I hope you are kidding. Its like Reggie telling everyong to hit, Hoover telling everyone to field pop ups and Herges telling everyone to pitch good :lol . All I know is that you better be kidding ;) .

Don't worry, i was,lol

Other players should admire his talent but I don't think they should admire his attitude.

In the previous post I said "I think he's too lazy" because that's my opinion based on my observations.

I didn't say "he's too lazy" because I don't know for a fact if he's lazy or not.

you had to give something to Cody Ross...ineresting.

What did you have to give him? Patience? Hair?

I sit out in left field with Cliffsgirl and some other friends and we have a nice little cody ross fan club and we had some shirts made up and he came over friday before the game started and asked for one so we brought it to him today.

i was in the section next to u all on Friday. That was awesome. I was looking for cliffs, but no cowboy hat...i didn't see it at least. I did see you all with the signs and all...so I guess the reggie fan club is dead and now its the cody fan club?

ya she was there...her and I were wearing bald caps the majority of the night....Reggie's fan club is slowly dyin as he plays less and less.

Meet me in the clubhouse...its goin down.

:lol I will definitely think of this the next time that song comes on the radio!

I definitely agree with all those who say Miggy has taken a stronger leadership role. It's been quite noticeable. Maybe it's just coincidence but I started noticing the difference after the Olsen incident. Then again, it could just be something he decided to focus on for the second half of the season. I like it!

I don't see it either. But in all honesty that wasn't a lazy error. He rushed it for sure but in no way can it be contributed to laziness.

I was at the game right by where he made the 'lazy' error. It wasn't lazy at all. He was off balance and didn't have time to step into the throw. It was an error, but not for lack of effort.

How come every time Cabrera makes an error it gets called a "lazy" error?

Its a frickin error! The Marlins lead the MAJORS in errors. Are they all out of laziness?

jesus

I saw you guys during the week and then on Friday in sec 108... props to you guys for the dedication with the bald caps and the tshirts printed... you guys used to sit in 106 though right?

Cody's a nice guy. After that 10-2 butt whipping at the hands of L.A. We ran into him and Reggie in the parking lot. They both signed autograph's for my kids and there friends and talked a bit. Really cool.
