My Weekend in Milwaukee

Featured Replies

The fish Swept the Brewers while I was in attendance. I gotta say the Fans in Milwaukee are great fans, they were all so nice and even though their team was mired in a horrible 10 game loosing streak they still showed up to the games and even had a sell out crowd on Saturday.

With that said I was real happy to see them win a game last night after the Marlins were brutal in taking 7 games from them during that 10 game loosing streak.

Ok so on to the weekend, since getting out of the parking lot was such a pain in the rear end after games I decided to stay in the park as late as I could after the games, hoping to see and maybe meet some of the Marlins. Sure enough, on Friday about 15 minutes after the game ended I saw Dan Uggla down by the Marlins dugout talking to 2 people (they were friends of his that live in Milwaukee). Since there were not many people around I decided to walk down there and introduce myself. I did not have anything to sign and I am not much of an autograph person anyhow. But I shook his hand and told him how fun it has been to watch him this year and how happy I was for him to be doing so well at this level. He was really down to earth and after I told him my story of how I moved from Miami to Minnesota he seemed genuinly interested in talking to me and started asking me about why I moved and how I liked it up north and how I have coped with the weather changes and all that. Really cool guy.

The next day before the game he tossed me a ball and signed it for me, although I am not much of a collecter I will probably keep this ball.

Anyhow, overall my wife and I had a great time, the Park is wonderful (it really makes all the diffrence in the world being at a REAL baseball stadium) and we couldn't have had better weather. Looking forward to my roadtrip next year too!

I took a TON of pictures every day so I will post some of the good ones eventually. HAvn't even had time to get them off my Camera yet.
