September 10, 200619 yr Sure stepped up huge today. I think the whole "dehydration" thing wasn't as big as we're letting on. To me, the biggest thing today was how he wasn't as demonstrative as usual. My favorite "head bob" and full sprint weren't there today, IMO, that's probably the difference. Hopefully, the coaching staff keeps him subdued. Exactly. Dontrelle's biggest enemy is himself. When he becomes too animated, that's when he gets into trouble. Walking off the field slowly and being calm, shows more poise and will probably help him become more consistent in the long run than his youthful exuberance.
September 10, 200619 yr D Train is special in so many ways... ..as a person and as a player. exactly, and as a teammate, positive all the time. Him and Miggy have taken over the leadership roles. Not discounting the article in the herald regarding Helms, Herges and Moehler's role.
September 10, 200619 yr wow CG SO and 12 Ks good stuff...needed a big performance and got one. Gotta keep winning
September 10, 200619 yr so awesome how we fought back in the series. yippie! To me, the worst part about it is we really could have won all 4 (should have taken 3/4...ahem, JJ). Still, to come up so huge in two must win games sure is great to see.
September 10, 200619 yr we should have won this series :mad with that being said.. brilliant game by the d-train.. i wish i had gone to the game instead sittin in a sports bar watchin my Bucs lay a big egg :plain :plaindance
September 10, 200619 yr Dontrell was great good to see him returning to his old form and giving the bullpen a rest now its time to get thoose muts
September 10, 200619 yr We met him and got pics with him at last years Fan Club Autograph session, a really great down to earth guy, who loves the game, his team and all Marlin Fans Great to see him have one of those days when his stuff is good n nasty
September 10, 200619 yr Great job by The Don in pitching a complete game at a crucial time. Some members here can't partipipate in this thread and have to lay low for awhile because they think The Don is no good, certainly not our ace. Too bad their stupidity and/or prejudice(sad but true) keeps them from joining in on the great satisfaction most of us feel.
September 11, 200619 yr A great job pitching by Dontrelle, it gave our bullpen a rest for the Mets series.
