September 15, 200619 yr Author Who has the new Season 8 DVD set? I borrowed it from my uncle and am watching it now, I wish the commentaries were a little better. I haven't listened to this year's yet but in past years it's mostly them patting eachother on their backs about how great they are. Family Guy commentaries are usually hilarious on, wish the Simpsons ones were like that.

September 25, 200619 yr Eh. That Star Wars reference would have been funny 4 years ago. That's the biggest thing that bugs me about the Simpsons, because the animation process takes so long, they can't be topical.

September 25, 200619 yr the whole Star Wars thing just wasnt funny to me, there were a couple things that were hilarious though. The whole Milhouse swelling up and the cats and dynamite to Skinner.
November 13, 200619 yr Let's see, in a 30 minute show we had... -Army recruiters lying and signing up young kids -All new army recruits are complete morons -Military recruiting offices where "Teen Suicides are Welcome" -Army terrorizes local population of Springfield, shooting up the place and driving tanks over cars, destroying private property -Soldiers get drunk and pass out -People of Springfield rise up and throw out the Army saying "an occupying force can never defeat an indiginous people" -Homer forced to become recruiter and try and con people into joining the Army.... Just disgusting. Bash Bush, I don't care. I'll laugh. Bash the war in Iraq, still don't care. I'll laugh. But bash our troops? I don't think so. I was excited about the Simpsons movie coming out, but now...... F*CK THEM

If there is one thing that is off limits, this is it. They bash republicans at least once in every single episode and it's hilarious, but this... no way. They have the right to air this anti-military garbage, I will simply no longer watch the show and no longer give them my additional one millionth of a ratings point and will not pay to see the movie when it comes out.
