To Us REAL Marlins fans

Featured Replies

WOW it feels good to have watched the tommy phelps vs jeff austins and the wayne franklin vs brad penny games that seems almost meaning less, when you know your the only person in your school who watched the game the night before, and walking through the halls now and hearing about the marlins, just knowing you've seen them grow up, youve seen the losing seasons, you've seen the games after Sheffield, Johnson, eisenrech, and Bonilla were traded, and your one of the only people who have REALLY watched the marlins through the years, it feels like I've earned this. What im trying to say is that it feels good to be a real fan and not one of these bandwagoners, and that im glad i watched all those, "meeningless games" in 98 99 2000 2001 and 2002, because it feels extra sweater when your on the other side, and your the one in the stands at a packed 65k stadium with game winning hits, its finally here, and since everyone on this board just about is a real fan, whos watched reid cornelious, and chuck smith, and kirt ojala, and those horrible years, Congratulations to us, we're finally here, Congratulations to the reel fans who r REALLY happy about OUR team. No one knows our team better then us, we've earned this. People may say that marlins fans are horrible, but we're are just as good or not better than any fans out there, Congratulations to that!! And GO MARLINS!!!!

good things come to those who wait. we've waited now we're getting what we deserve. and in addition to the waiting, we've suffered so f***ing much. we definetly deserve this

Stop being ridiculous and trying to hold a premium on this team. ANyone who wants to be a part of this should be. Even Le Retard. Because we 'hardcores' need the more casual fans - to get a new stadium, to get a TV station to carry them in places like Tallahassee...

Hell yeah man! We've endured 972 regular season games to get to this point! Going to games where there were fewer people there than that go to my high school. Some games that I still specifically remember is an early season game against the Brewers 2 years ago, and a early season game against the Padres last year. I remember watching meaningless games every day in Julys and Augusts, because what else was I gonna watch? All those games didn't seem like much at the time, but all were leading up to this. Marlin-fever has swept over everyone in south florida this time. I was at the park today and just about everyone had a radio and was constantly cheering and celebrating with eachother! What a sweet day it is!!

i remember on my moms birthday bruce aven hit two homers to beat the yanks at the pro, wow was that a classic. what ever happened to him, he looked like he was gona be a damn good player, and what happened to smith he was good two.

i actually reely enjoyed those days, even though they were losing seasons, it still felt like we had a good season cuz our expectations were even lower

Do not forget the man who loved to wrestle animals... Bruce Aven!

oh well

i dont like it either

but it's better to have "fans" than no fans

also her last name is Nerrey

i think she even admitted to being on the bandwagon

chuck smith had arm problems, was with the rockie organization and was let go....

i think he was last with the brave organization and developed more arm problems.

and so what if the fans are on the bandwagon.

the more the merrier. you know what you were, they know what they are.

enjoy the ride and all.
