October 6, 200322 yr This is exactly what I wanted. We would have swept the Braves - but we will never truly know. The Cubs? Higher stakes, more drama. They are America's team right now, everyone is probably rooting for Cubs, except White Sox fans... But, as good as Prior and Wood are, I want to see us go up against them. I want to see our best beat their best. I am a little tired of our pitching staff getting overlooked by the Cubs, A's, Astros of the world. That said, we do have to win every game that those 2 dont pitch in, or at least win 1 game out of the 4 they are pitching. That is very likely. I dont think Dusty is choosing to go with Zambrano in Game 1. He has to - Prior and Woods are too tiredright now. Zambrano, though, is no slouch. He has better stuff than all the pitchers on the Giants staff except Schmidt. I give us a slight advantage in intangibles because we have been getting it done under great pressure and in dramatic fashion. The Cubs? Well...they did play the Braves, and how intense is that going to get? :w00t
