Sometimes it seems silly that we pout & whine so much over an increase of a dime per gallon or whatever when it doesn't amount to a whole lot in the long run.... & meanwhile things like property taxes go through the roof.... but nevertheless, this rocks. I've freed up almost an extra hour & a half every day that I'm not spending on the road. (my job in Ft. Laud was a 45 minute drive each way) That's more time to spend with my baby boy, catching up on news, sleeping in, wasting time on mb.com, whatever. :happydance
October 24, 200620 yr thats great to here, right now its a 35 min ride for me back and forth and i fill up every week. hopefully when i move again the 10 min ride will help me out alot more.

If you live so close, why don't you ride a bike? Or better yet get a segue... That would rock.
October 25, 200620 yr I'm looking for a new job now. My current commute is an hour train ride each way! (plus 10 min to get there). The only good thing is I can read the newspaper and drink coffee on the train rather than drive.
October 25, 200620 yr Great to hear, HC. Working close to home is great. I haven't had to commute longer than 10 minutes each way for the last 7 years. For two of those, I worked FROM home, which is (needless to say) even better. :thumbup
October 25, 200620 yr I live 8/10ths of a mile from work. Its sweet. I cant even imagine what its like to sit on the Commuter Highway for 2 hours a day.

It's not really bike-riding territory... & it's more like 10 minutes by car actually, I probably stretched that a bit, but it seems like 10 seconds to me based on what I had to drive before.
October 26, 200620 yr Jacksonville is not a bad place to live. Only thing is I always worried about the crime rate, but it has gotten better.
