Posted November 17, 200618 yr So this is a question for all the fellas on the board... Just curious where you guys all shop for nice, social/party/club clothes? I've been looking for places with good selection at a reasonable price, but with my budget it's damn hard.
November 17, 200618 yr It's hard on a budget, but the gap has some nice stuff for relatively cheap (compared to Banana Republic, The Limited, etc.)
November 17, 200618 yr Author It's hard on a budget, but the gap has some nice stuff for relatively cheap (compared to Banana Republic, The Limited, etc.) Ya I am hitting up BR tomorrow, I haven't been in a long time so I'm gonna check it out. Gap was obviously on my short list of 'affordable' places, just curious if there are any hidden gems.
November 17, 200618 yr Well, I don't go out to clubs too much, so when I do try to hit up the GAP for a nice shirt and some slacks.
November 17, 200618 yr I'd say most of my club/party clothes are from Banana Republic, Express/Limited, and Gap. In particular, I've gotten my best shirts on clearance from the first two. If you don't buy clothes much, you're probably better off trolling through the clearance rack at Banana Republic and Express before hitting up Gap--just so you have an idea of what the ideal looks like before sifting through what's at Gap. Also, don't be afraid to spend lots of money on good pants (which rarely go on sale).
November 17, 200618 yr Marshall's is a good place and the prices are great, you just have to have a little bit of patience in order to find what you're really looking for.
November 17, 200618 yr Ravello, across the street from the Falls (in the same plaza as Sport and Ski shop)

No, I'm serious. yeah thats a good call the one here has tons of good social clothes for dirt cheap You'd be surprised what you can find there on a good day. Not to sound like a fiend but back out west, we made visting the local American Veterans Thrift Store (AMVETS) a weekly ritual. Cheap stuff and all of the benifits go to a good cause. If you can find a thrift store like that, their stuff is a lot cheaper then places like The Salvation Army.
November 17, 200618 yr I'm sure you have some outlet stores down there. Personally I'm an Aeropostale maniac.
November 18, 200618 yr never understood the reasoning behind buying specific clothing to go out to clubs in. that and i absolutely hate clubs. when i hit up a bar, just some jeans/slacks and some type of collard shirt/tshirt depending on the place *shrugs*
November 18, 200618 yr I wear $9.99 Walmart brand polo shirts and $9.99 Walmart khaki shorts and pants with a $125 Safariland gun belt :lol . I don't care about clothes, there's no difference between a Walmart brand red polo shirt and a Ralph Lauren polo shirt except the little horse logo whereas the Walmart one has no logo. Both are 100% cotton, both are made in third world countries, yet one is $9.99 and one is $75.00 and I just fail to see the difference because there is none. Same with khaki pants and shorts, the ones at Nordstrom's are like $95 yet the ones at walmart are between $10 and $15... both are made out of the same material, both are from third world countries, so I fail to see the difference.... infact I love the Dickies ones they sell at Walmart because it has that stainguard crap so you can spill red wine on them and it just beads off without even absorbing into the cotton, it's great. If you want good clothes, just go to Walmart or Target or somewhere similar, there's no need to spend hundreds of dollars at trendy stores when you can buy the same stuff for 1/10th the price at Walmart or somewhere similar. A red polo shirt is a red polo shirt... why spend $75.00 when you can get the exact same thing for $9.99?

November 18, 200618 yr There is definitely a quality and style difference between Wal-Mart and the higher end mall stores. I get most of my clothes dirt cheap or free from Abercrombie & Fitch because my fiancee is a manager there.
November 18, 200618 yr Accord, when I go to the outlets, most of the time the clothes I get there are CHEAPER than the clothes at Target or Wal-Mart. Oh, and there's a big difference between Wal-Mart brand flannel shirts and name brands (Woolrich, Redhead, etc).
November 18, 200618 yr I usually troll the sale racks at Macy's, Sak's, etc....... I bought a Calvin Kline dress shirt for SIXTEEN bucks about 3 weeks ago in a Macy's. It was normally going for $65. If you spend about 2 hours sifting around you'll usually find some sweet sh*t on sale. Ive even gone into Hugo Boss and found a real nice shirt for $35.
November 19, 200618 yr Hot Topic :shifty their shirts are a little overpriced solid place though if youre looking for a cool band or tv show t-shirt
