NBA All-Star Weekend

Featured Replies

Tonight we have the Skills Competition, 3-Point Shootout and the Dunk Competition followed by the actual game tomorrow night. Any picks to win tonight's events? I could care less about the Dunk Competition. There isn't much that can be done any more and after what happened last year I'm convinced there is more time spent on attempting dunks than the other 2 events. As for the shootout and skills comps. - Wade and Kapono, obviously :thumbup

DUNK COMPETITION

New York?s Nate Robinson will defend his crown in the 2007 Sprite Slam Dunk competition to be held on NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by EA SPORTS?, Feb. 17 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Robinson will compete against three first-time entrants ? Boston's Gerald Green, who is an alumnus of the NBA Development League, Orlando?s Dwight Howard and Chicago?s Tyrus Thomas ? for this year's title.

SKILLS COMPETITION

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade will defend his PlayStation? Skills Challenge title against three of the league's biggest stars on Feb. 17 as part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The competitors hoping to deny Wade's quest for a repeat are the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, the Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James and the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets' Chris Paul.

3-POINT SHOOTOUT

The Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki will look to defend his title in this year's Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout which will be held on NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by EA SPORTS?, Feb. 17 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Nowitzki will compete against Gilbert Arenas, Damon Jones, Jason Kapono, Mike Miller, and his teammate, Jason Terry.

they shoulda let Dwight Howard dunk on the 12 foot hoop that he wanted to

what time is the race at?

O/U on how many times Magic says the dunk contest is back tonight?

I'll go 7.

hehehe Wade just beat kobe to win the skills.

Ironic Kobe couldnt make the pass part.

How is ironic? He didn't miss a pass in the first round.

I blame the refs.

I blame the refs.

In his career he has been ripped often for the lack of ability for passing.

Dick Baveta just kissed Charles Barkley. :lol

:lol :lol :lol

I wonder if that's why he did it?

I like Hollinger's scorecard on ESPN.com for all the events....Gave Wade an "A" for the skills challenge and his analysis was "Flawless final round, Mavs complained anyway." :lol

Three point contest is going to begin shortly, my favorite skills challenge.

Good job, J.

24 points in the final round for Kapono. Ties the final round record.

*high five*

EDIT: Kapono wins in a rout.
