March 15, 200719 yr I think Jeremy Hermida hitting a Grand Slam in his first AB was the worst thing that could happen to him. People expect him to be Superman or something. Do some of you realize that he's just now entering his 2nd year in the league? He's obviously shown some potential so give him some time.

March 15, 200719 yr Obvious last year's injuries and the fact that this is spring training should be taken into account. I'm definitely all for NOT sending him down to start the year, but if he were to continue to severly struggle for more than a month, it would be something I would not be opposed to at that time. That being said, I wouldn't hit the panic button yet, but I see no reason why people should not feel free to discuss this, after all, it's not like the struggles he has gone through have been minor.
March 15, 200719 yr I'll believe the hype when I see it. Sure, he was injured a lot the past year, but when he did play he did not show even a sign of the he's supposed to have brilliance. Luckily we are not contenders so we have the time to wait on him to develop. If he doesn't start hitting though, let him get some time in AAA to find his stroke again.
