Posted April 1, 200718 yr I have been searching around ticketmaster for tickets (Weekend Series) and there is nothing left in the outfield and infield box seats for Saturday's game. Looks like some good crowds this weekend. *crosses fingers* It's Spring Break up here for Palm Beach kids so maybe we will have decent crowds on the weekdays. Useless thread but I had to share. So.... Good Attendance this weekend or Meh attendance this weekend (Sat/Sun)? Okay guys a questions for ya... where is section 46 in PPS?
April 1, 200718 yr should be excellent attendance this weekend... after that, who knows? anyway I think sec 46 is 3rd base line founders club
April 1, 200718 yr Author Could they be batters box seats? If you match the #'s 41 goes with 141, 142 goes with 42 kwim?.... I am thinking thats what they are.
April 1, 200718 yr well they are definitely in the founders club, you're probably right about behind home plate why do you want to know?... I assume you have them?
April 1, 200718 yr Author why do you want to know?... I assume you have them? I could only wish. I keep telling my dad how cheap they are when _(Insert boring team name here)___ plays against the Marlins. Maybe he will give in because this has been my dream to sit there since I was 11 years old.
April 1, 200718 yr Ideally I would like to get 100,000 for the opening series. We'll see how close they get.
April 1, 200718 yr Author Does anyone know the number of tickets sold for opening day yet? They usually announce it a few days before opening day. I am interested to see how many tickets are already sold.
April 1, 200718 yr it look like the fans coming out to see this young team play after last year i hope their play like last year if not fans wont return
April 2, 200718 yr The Marlins have been pushing Fri-Sat like crazy this off-season and while to the casual observer it may not look like a big jump in season tickets when the number is announced, keep in mind that season tickets are counted in sets of 81 so a father and son buying a pair of 41 game season tickets equals "one" season ticket. And by now pushing the 28 game packs (fri-sat) you'll need almost three 28 game plans (2.89) to equal a season ticket. They've given up on Sunday in the sun, not even opening the upperdeck it was so ungodly up there, hence the 28 game packs. It will be interesting to see how well they sold out those special upperdeck sections, I think that will be a big indicator. I don't know this for a fact but I think what they are doing, and will continue to do until a new stadium is built, is make the games more and more accessible to more people in hopes that when it comes to filling the new venue they will have a bigger more committed group to market to. So I expect weeknghts to remain more or less what they are and weekends to be up significantly, especially saturdays. In the end I wouldn't be surprised to see 15% or more in total attendance if the team is competitive all season.
April 2, 200718 yr I was wondering about the season tickets numbers and looked it up this afternoon. "Season tickets are around the same number as last year, but the facts are, our attendance is going to go up because of what we're doing with our "Super Saturday" program," Marlins President David Samson said. Season tickets will be roughly in the 5,000 range. http://sportsbiznews.blogspot.com/search/l...orida%20Marlins

The game was on TV and no one was there. We were all wearing Marlins stuff so they put us there. Needless to say, it was really cool.

Its really sad that this topic has even come up Denver? Now you will be living in a sports town. I lived there when I got out of the USAF. Loved it. And my father in law had (passed away now but my bro in law has them still) Broncos season tix. We can fly up there for a game any time. If you have never been to Coors Field you are in for a treat. We were up there for a wedding a few years back and it just so happened the Marlins were in town that week end. We sat right above our bull pen.

In the end I wouldn't be surprised to see 15% or more in total attendance if the team is competitive all season. Along those lines, one of the main reasons I decided to "re-up" this season with the 15-game plan was so that I could guarantee my slot for the new ballpark. Every package (except the 10-game flex) gives you "priority seating" ranking for the new ballpark (whenever and wherever it will be). If they can start to hook up people that way once the new park actually becomes a reality, then you might see a slight spike in season ticket sales. As for the rest of the season, let's just drop these "attendance threads" PLEASE!! Attendance is, what it is! Let it go and worry about what happens between the foul lines and not between the turnstyles!
April 3, 200718 yr Author I read this in Sun-Sent (I can't find it online). 30K is already sold for opening day. Anyone find the link online?
April 3, 200718 yr I checked online and couldnt find it either. I am sure they will post an update in the next day or two. 30,000 isnt great, but its start. Hopefully they can get as close to 40,000 as possible. Hopefully saturday is almost as large as friday. If anyone wants to look back on dark days, the 2002 opener had 23,000 against montreal, the two games that followed 5,400 and 4,400 Ekkk!

Your best bet would be to go sunday or during the milwakee series if you dont want to see alot of people.

Shame because the weather should be beautiful. It won't be uncomfortable on Sundays until May or so.

April 3, 200718 yr I think this weekend should be good by Marlins standards, sub-par for a regular team's home opener on the weekend against a division rival, but hey, as long as it's baseball, who cares, right?
