April 2, 200719 yr Argh... Out at the plate. it was the perfect throw...although...with pujols comin up...the 3 run jack would have been nice it was stupid to send him beltran was in his throwing motion, as ecksteins foot was touching third base..he had no shot. bases loaded....dammit, broken bat blooper
April 2, 200719 yr gotta take advantage of that situation...eckstein getting thrown out hurts even worse, as molina would have only been the second out
April 2, 200719 yr Ewww... Mets stink. you said it. now all the met fans will be going crazy because they start in first. I can't wait...
April 2, 200719 yr The Mets winning is the worst possible way for baseball to start. at least there is a very high probability that baseball wont end the same way

"willingham, deep left field, and deep and gone! ballgame! josh willingham! a walk-off 2-run shot! hello!"--Rich Waltz GAME OVER
April 2, 200719 yr Oh Yeah BAYBEE! 1-0, might as well already give us the World Series Trophy now! Seriously, 1 game down, 161 left (even if the next 2 are against Kip Wells and Braden Looper).
April 2, 200719 yr I don't know if it was because it was the first game of the season or what, but I really enjoyed last night's game. I was really surprised to see the Mets getting to Carpenter so early and often... Also, hate all you want, but those DP's were pretty last night. That Reyes-Valentine combo looks pretty stout. I hoping to see a similar outcome from my Yanks this afternoon behind our Ace... uh... Carl Pavano?
April 2, 200719 yr Might as well make this Opening Day thread too.. Opening Early Thoughts: FLA vs Wash - Hanley Ramirez is good, Miguel Cabrera will get pitches to hit if Jacobs can produce, Dontrelle is good.. TOR vs DET - Blue Jays offense CAN BE GOOD, it's up to their pitching ATL vs PHI - Ryan Howard is good TAM vs NYY - Crawford is amazing.. A-Rod not so much on popflys!

A-Rod not so much on popflys! :lol I don't care how much you hate the Yankees, you have to admit it was nice to see Bobby Murcer up in the booth and hear his voice... It was kind of emotional - in a Brian's Song sort of way. Ding-Dong - Jorge's good. :thumbup
