When you make that kind of money, the media and fans need to see you pull through like he did today. He certainly hasn't made many friends with his mouth [trashing Jeter?]. His errors, abysmal post season performance, and failure to pull through in the clutch simply haven't helped him to make ammends. Do we boo him? Yeah - when he deserves it. ARod and Jeter have been compared their entire careers and ARod is and has always been the far better player (not even close) and because Yankee fans are in love with Jeter they have always hated ARod and they continue to hate him. A-Rod was supposed to be the one to come in and bring them back to greatness as a former MVP he has yet to do that. I agree that Yankee fans may be a tad harsh on him at times, but people (not saying you are) shouldn't act like Jeter gets a free pass for no reason. He earned that pass many times over. Also, whether it is fair or not, A-Rod's contract will always be an albatros around his neck for as long as he has it.

And as Billy Beane has repeatedly told us (and gotten many of us to believe) two weeks in October is not a fair evaluation of a game played every day for 6 months. Besides, ARod did single handedly send the Yankees to the ALCS in 2004. Other than that, I completely agree.
