The Upside rating is designed to evaluate players in terms of value in their pre-free agency seasons. They are not, strictly speaking, intended to speak to who is going to have the most valuable career.

I guess I just dont see how Wright can have more upside than Cabrera.

Nor do I see how Hanley Ramirez is convincingly better than Reyes (even if I think he's slightly better).

Why did TB sign that hot shot Japanese 3B after drafting a stud 3B like Longoria? Planning on switching his position?

surprised Volstad didnt make the first list and I dont like Wright being that high. They are either smoking the hype or something else there. That is way too high for David Wright. He should switch with Reyes if anything.

It's interesting that they thing so highly of Eric Patterson. For some reason the Cubs don't seem to be convinced that this guy is a player, perhaps just because of his brother.
