October 15, 200323 yr We Marlins and White Sox fans all want to win Game 7, of course. But we, both Marlins and White Sox fans, MUST ABSOLUTELY NOT assume that a Marlins' NL Pennant is a foregone conclusion. In other words, DO NOT GET COCKY! The Chicago media, the Cubs, and their fans all counted their chickens before they hatched today. We, the Allies, must not make the same mistake. I wholeheartedly preach "BELIEVE," of course. But I just want us to avoid the cockyness the Cubs had coming into tonight's game. Kerry Wood will face us Wednesday night. Sure, he can be had. But this is serious business. Stay focused. Let us avoid the curse of cockyness. If you do that, Game 3 of the World Series will be at Pro Player Stadium. And to quote the Dan Ackroyd character "Louis Winthorp" from the movie Trading Places, "Let's kick some a**." BELIEVE.

October 15, 200323 yr trust me man, being a Dolphins fan i know not to get cocky. im going to have a long a** day tommorow waiting for the game. likewise, just yesterday for me was hard, try studyin 4 ya ACT test around 7 pm to 9 pm and the only thing on ya mind is i wonder if Pavz blew da game..... or did we score any runs of Prior, i got home in time for the top the 5th losing 1-0... still cant believe we won the game...... im not cocky, the die hard marlin fans are nervous, cuz we were all hopeing for a miracle to happen and when the fan messed up that was it!!! but what ya gotta like is the fact redman went 7 inning agasnt the cubbies on July 18 and only allowed 4 hits 0 runs and 9 K's.... Just hope Wood Chokes like A.Gon did last night
October 15, 200323 yr What happened to the scrubs last night is known as bad Karma. They've had their champagne chilling and their celebrations planned since Sunday. I've been keeping my mouth shut at work (my boss is a scrub fan) and letting the Marlins do the "talking". This morning my boss said to me, "The bad news is, the cubs lost. The good news is I have tickets for tonight's game". He's been real cocky since the scrubs got past the Braves, and I've been waiting for the day I can serve him up a big fat plate of CROW. GO MARLINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHITE SOX FANS LOVE THE MARLINS!!

October 15, 200323 yr Another thing Marlins fans must NOT do: if your sitting by the wall at WRIGLEY, DO NOT reach for a foul ball. Let the Cubs take something away from this series, even if it is only a foul ball.
October 15, 200323 yr We don't get cocky. We know things can change in an instant. Believe What Admin said. Us Marlins fans don't get cocky.....we've been through too much to do that! :angry
October 15, 200323 yr Avoiding getting cocky is exactly why I immediately started a thread on keys to winning game 7... and keep on believing men...
October 15, 200323 yr Another thing Marlins fans must NOT do: if your sitting by the wall at WRIGLEY, DO NOT reach for a foul ball. Let the Cubs take something away from this series, even if it is only a foul ball. if your a Marlins fan at Wrigley i strongley suggest you dont sit anywhere near the wall even if you bought a ticket. i got a feeling there will be some angry drunk Cub fans meeting you there. if you do, dont wear any teal or black, be proud of your team but dont be stupid
October 15, 200323 yr Your right, I am so caught up in the game that I started to predict a win for the Marlins, well I will not do that again. I learned my lesson, anyway the Marlins has accomplished alot this season. Actions speak louder than words, the cubs learned that the hard way.
October 15, 200323 yr Lets not get like the Cubs fan. They were bad mouthing us and telling us we are going to lose and then in the 8th inning the whole crowd was praying and crying.
