October 15, 200322 yr ....I've already converted my dad from Phillies fan to Fish fan, now I think my mom is hopping on board the bandwagon (She's never followed a team but she has always hated Chipper Jones)...and my mom has been following the post-season for one reason....she loves watching Pudge play... so Beinfest and Loria....Make my Mom happy and re-sign him....
October 15, 200322 yr I think that will happen - in fact, I think that this team is going to be more intact than we initially thought...
October 15, 200322 yr Author Look at that picture above of Pudge: Every day Every game..ALL HEART!!! that's been Pudge
October 15, 200322 yr I think that will happen - in fact, I think that this team is going to be more intact than we initially thought... I don't think so. With Castro ready to play the money will be better spent elsewhere. The financial picture hasn't changed very much. But I certainly intend to enjoy him while he's still here.
October 15, 200322 yr the only way that Pudge will stay is if he wants to bc we dont have enough money for him next year.-what a shame!
October 15, 200322 yr If Loria and Co. win the lottery then the team will remain intact...if not there will be some changes, namely Pudge, Lee, and Luis.
October 15, 200322 yr if they win the lottery... what are the chances???? well if g-d loves us than we will!!!!!!!
October 15, 200322 yr I wouldn't put anything in stone about next year. . . We have been surprised before. . . (i.e. signing Pudge) Let's enjoy this ride and worry about next year on 2004
October 15, 200322 yr who are we going 2 have on the team next year?-were losing alot of guys. ps.-this is my 200th post!
October 15, 200322 yr I dont know if pudge will come back with the Marlins Cutting payroll next year. when Ivan signed with us he said if he likes it and we contend he will stay. Well He IS happy here and we are contending for a world series spot so who knows.
October 15, 200322 yr Pudge would have to take a BIG-TIME discount. He & super-agent Scott Boras are looking for a fat, long-term contract. This performance in the playoffs by Pudge will almost certainly bring in some big money. The kind of money the Marlins don't have. As hard as it is to say (I mean the guy has brought total heart & balls to this team) I'd rather they spend the money on trying to retain other guys like Lowell and the pitching staff.
October 15, 200322 yr Pudge is looking for some fat retirement money, long term deal, and he's certainly gonna get it with the performance he's done this past season and so far this post season....him performing so well this post season has pretty much open many doors for him next season for a bunch of teams willing to pay big bucks for a quality player. I pray and hope i read in the newspaper how Pudge found a new home here with all his teammates and decided to take a big pay cut and stay a fish...but thats highly doubtfull. he's ours now so buckle up and enjoy the ride.
October 15, 200322 yr like Pudge needs the money if he truly wants to stay here and enjoys winning he will resign for at most $5mil or so.... if not, i hate to say it, but we know what kind of person he is
October 15, 200322 yr like Pudge needs the money if he truly wants to stay here and enjoys winning he will resign for at most $5mil or so.... if not, i hate to say it, but we know what kind of person he is exactly, amen to that if he stays great, if not then we know he's greedy as fu*&
