May 5, 200719 yr Guys, he will be back. I don't think anyone assumed he wouldn't. I know but you guys are arguing like he is gone forever. Let him work out his troubles and he will be back.

May 5, 200719 yr Author yea this is definitely a head scratcher the Julio part, not the fact Anibal was sent down not exactly a huge shock with his 2whip and .340baa
May 5, 200719 yr everyone is entitled to their opinions. . Even the conspiracy theorist It so true. The haters are the haters, there's nothing you can do except laugh at them, but the conspirarcy theorists are really something else, thinking that dozens of people throughout the organization are conspiring against a particular player or to validate a particular move, forever collectively holding their secrets silent like they worked underground at Area 51. But then again some people are still looking for the guys who murdered Kennedy from the grassy knoll.
May 5, 200719 yr Maybe they're really pissed about the Tally thing and feel the need to force an innocent to incur their wrath...
May 5, 200719 yr Author I actually think Julio turns it around closer to his career norms. Still not great, but nowhere near as bad as he was *can't believe I am saying that*
May 5, 200719 yr Almost the entire pitching staff should be demoted lol. Scott Olsen has been horrible all year except his one start vs Atlanta. Willis has been wildly erratic. Nolasco and Johnson injured. Mitre and Obermeuller are just fill ins.

May 5, 200719 yr Author Ok, been going back and forth with this and you know what, Anibal needs to go down. Yea, his era is better than some, but that's pretty damn lucky to begin with. His whip is 2.07 and opposing batters are hitting .341/.430/.500 off him I have no problem with this move at all, and this coming from someone who has been pretty displeased with Beinfest and Co recently

IN BEINFEST WE TRUST

Wanna send him down as well?
May 5, 200719 yr Author except Olsen has shown signs of getting better Anibal has gotten worse each outing
May 5, 200719 yr except Olsen has shown signs of getting better Anibal has gotten worse each outing Not really. Olsen's first outing and his last outing were his only decent ones. In between, he's been on the same level as Sanchez. Or maybe you forget his 2 inning outing against Atlanta.
May 5, 200719 yr Tommy Hutton made an observation on Anibal's last start in New York that was resounding. He sounded disturbed by the fact Anibal, a very young pitcher, was not going after hitters and throwing strikes like he did in 2006. I seem to agree, the issue there was a change in style, not mechanics. Olsen's issue wasn't his lack of throwing strikes, but the fact he was issuing grapefruits to hitters....something he has improved in since the season started.
May 5, 200719 yr Author except Olsen has shown signs of getting better Anibal has gotten worse each outing Not really. Olsen's last outing was his only decent one. Before that, he was just as bad as Sanchez. April 25th vs Atlanta: 8ip 8h 3er(on 3hr) 1bb 10k
