October 15, 200322 yr I was talking to my bf about last night's game and he told me that Prior will be back up for Game 7. I told him that can't be because he pitched last night and he needs rests. My bf is a typical Cubs fan (just not violent, but annoying enough lol) and he swore to me it was true. Oh, also he was blaming it on the poor fan who got the ball from Alou. We argued over it. LOL But anyway, back to the point. Is it true that Prior is back in the Cubs lineup for back up?
October 15, 200322 yr is that even physically possible??, he pitched 7+ innings. I really doubt it..the day after you pitch your arm is sore as hell.
October 15, 200322 yr The cubs fans are just wishing they could trow prior in every single game. I felt so good when the Marlins took care of the intimidating Mark Prior and his huge ego. Good luck to Red in game 7.
October 15, 200322 yr No Prior in gm. 7 they're banking on Wood. If he can't get it done thats it. FISH IN 7
October 15, 200322 yr Rothschild wouldn't allow it. He is has the ultimate authority over his pitchers, that is one of his ground rules when he takes a job with a team.
October 15, 200322 yr Author I talked to my bf again and I asked him where he got his info from. He said that he got it from nowhere. He just assumed it b/c Prior and Wood are their two best pitchers. I explained to him that it was impossible for Prior to pitch again tonight after he pitched 7 innings last night. So, all is clear. :thumbup He thinks we can't beat Wood though. I told him we'll see. So who do you think is a better pitcher? Prior or Wood?
October 15, 200322 yr The consensus on BBTN is that all pitchers are available on both sides except for Prior and Pavs.
October 15, 200322 yr wouldnt that be something, Cub's best pitchers lose in the final 2 games of the season...what kinda message would that give to the sox and/or yanks.
October 15, 200322 yr Ask your BF is he would like to risk the arm of one of the best young pitchers in all of Baseball just to make it to the World Series? If he says yes, then I would reevaluate things. :mischief2
October 15, 200322 yr He wont pitch today. Thats the cubs best pitcher and perhaps best in the NL. He will damage his arm. If he does pitch today Dusty is on something.

So who do you think is a better pitcher? Prior or Wood? They do have a guy by the name of Kerry Wood to pitch tonights game. His arm is feeling shot today, Prior himself wouldn't even allow himself to take the mound. Thats insane! Your bf may need to see a doctor, thats scary to even hear someone said that.
October 15, 200322 yr The consensus on BBTN is that all pitchers are available on both sides except for Prior and Pavs. Beckett for closer ! :w00t JK

October 15, 200322 yr actually Randy pitched on back to back nights for those that remember. he started game 6 and then went in relief in game 7 the following night against the Yankees
October 15, 200322 yr Well either way, the Cubs will lose again. The Marlins slacked off in Games 3 and 4, but with the victory on Games 5 and 6 it is know way that the Marlins can lose. Game 7 will be a good game, but the Marlins will prevail and then they(Marlins) will win the world series. Marlin97
October 15, 200322 yr The consensus on BBTN is that all pitchers are available on both sides except for Prior and Pavs. Yes, in a Game 7 everyone that isn't starting becomes a reliever. Even in some extreme circumstances the night before's pitcher would come in to pitch (See Randy, 01). I don't know what Dusty will do because he is an idiot, but under no circumstances will we see Carl Pavano tonight. And it will take quite alot to see Dontrelle again.
October 15, 200322 yr if they want 2 mess up his arm then they will put him in-but they shouldn't-i dont even think hes able to-i know he can throw like 130 pitches per start but i dont think he can pitch more-maybe he can pitch with one less rest day-but hes not going 2 pitch again this postseason bc the marlins are gonna win and knock out the cubs!!!!!!!!
October 15, 200322 yr I doubt the Cubbies will put Prior in. His arm is practically useless, well if they put Prior it will be a huge advantage to the Marlins. Marlin97
