Posted May 17, 200717 yr JJ Hardy! He leads the league in Homers and RBIs and is playing excellent defense...Go Figure!
May 17, 200717 yr He wont finish in the top 10 in HR and RBI's... You can tell the future?! Go look up his minor league numbers. This is a fluke.

May 17, 200717 yr The defense shouldnt be a surprise. Except for Eckstein, the NL central is a melting pot of excellent defensive SS.

I know guys that played several seasons with him and they are all shocked at the season he's having so far. NOBODY saw this coming and it will not last. He'll be a perennial all-star eventually, but he won't be an A-Rod.
May 17, 200717 yr lol I remember Hanley wasn't so great in the minors, look at him now. :lol The highest level he played in was AA and hit .310 and .271 and a combined 11 homers also with a combined 67 rbi's in two years. Though he was noted as a 5 tool player and a top prospect, his numbers weren't off the charts or indicative of what he's done in the majors.

May 17, 200717 yr Remember when Chris Shelton won the AL MVP last year? Yes, I was at his HOF induction as well.
May 17, 200717 yr Remember when Chris Shelton won the AL MVP last year? Didn't he wind up in the minors by the end of the year?
May 17, 200717 yr Yep, he wasn't even on the post-season roster. Talking about MVPs and such in May is fun but when it boils down to it, it is pretty useless.
May 17, 200717 yr Especially when flukey hitter hit flukey home runs over a two week flukey fluke fluke.
