Again Mo Williams continues to find your comments absolutely hilarious.

Yeah, Mo freaking Williams is going to turn around the fact that you were embarrased by a team that was embarrased by another team who didn't even win the conference. Yet all of a sudden, the Heat are now THE, not one of the accoridng to you THE Favorite to win the conference because they sign a pretty good PG. Trust me it wasn't your point guard problems that led the heat down the path of an easy first round ejection.

I'm not disagreeing with you. The main problem the Heat had last season was age and health. When the Heat are healthy, even with the current roster, they are one of the better teams in the East. Not THE best team but one of the better ones.

A Mo Williams acquisition is definitely a huge upgrade for the Heat. I'm not buying Jason Williams is back in shape. He will not last an entire season healthy.

If Wade is healthy and 100% we would not of been Embarassed. Taking a top 1-5 player in the league and putting a shadow of himself in the game makes a team very different in a 5 vs 5 sport. Not even going into they were always the worst match up for us.

Please use some common sense in your assumptions there we are not talking about the west. Williams would be a very big addition a good PG would take pressure off of wade and forcing him to make plays himself. It would add a complete another dimension to the offense of the heat.

There is not currently a single team in the east that is a run away favorites. Actually there wasnt a single team in the east last year (or least) that would of won against the top 4 of the west.

You are welcome to a difference of opinion and if Mo signs here we shall see whom is right next year.

Yeah, I'm lacking common sense. I'm not the one who said MO FREAKING WILLIAMS is the piece that makes the Heat the favorites to win the east. No one, No one takes that statement seriously. Difference of opinions are fine, and you certainly have the right to that opinion. Just as I have the right to laugh at just how much blind love for the Heat went into that opinion that so defies logic.

I do not have much "blind love" for them as I canceled my season tickets years ago. My statement was pretty much he would be a major piece for this team. one that has been missing since we lost hardway. I should of been more clear perhaps but it was far from being a Homer there. This is a team less then 2 years from a title. That has 2 of the top 20 players in the league (top 5 at their position), add a dynamic young point guard and they will have as a very good team in the East. They could easily be considered the favorites there or at least one of them.

Were they horrible in that series against the Bulls? Yes

Is that a showing of the abilities on this team all together? No

The heat wont even win the southeast this year. Everyone in the East is stepping their game up while the heat only get slower and older by the day. The only person that the heat have in the future to help DWade is Dorrell Wright the NBA equivalent of Van Wilder, what is he on like the 7 year plan? step it up your a first round pick and you cant do sh*t. But this season the Southeast should be very competitive. The wizards will be playing good because Arenas is in a contract and The Magic downright scare me.

If Miami gets Williams they will become again the instant favorites for the East next year.

Late to the party but I had to add my lulz.

Keep telling yourself that.

I'll do it for you. Century Village in Boca. My grandmother lives there.

Hopefully the Heat are building a handicap accessable ramp for when they announce starters prior to games.

Fox, thought you might like this article on Redick:

He is saying and doing all the right things and really performing. He is showing the passion and desire he had at Duke. Playing with a chip on his shoulder should make him a great part of the team. Sounds like he is really impressing Van Gundy.

With the big need for a SG, and with Redick fighting tooth and nail for his chance, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up as our starter at midseason at the latest.

Keep telling yourself that.

No need. It's true. :shifty

You guys are underestimating what Mo Williams would bring to the heat. He solves our 2nd biggest problem(behind being healthy) which is the need for 1. A 3rd scorer and 2. a PG who can play with Wade. He averaged a very nice 17 PPG and 6 assists, is still young and has improved every year.

To all those laughing I'd love to know who you consider to be the clear cut #1 favorite in the East? There is none, so it is not hyperbole to say a healthy(a big if, I know) Heat team that adds a player of Williams capabilities to a team that is only 2 years removed from winning the championship is the favorite.

So since there is no clear cut #1 in the East...the 4th or 5th ranked team right now automatically moves up to #1 because they sign a mediocre guard???

That would be like saying the Sixers gettin KG moves them to clear cut #1

Um, no. The only reason the Heat were the 4 seed was because they missed over 210 games with injuries and the team was 100% healthy for only 21 minutes ALL YEAR LONG. Ok? Unlike your Sixers, the Heat have 2 Superstars that can and have won. They're easily the number 1 seed last year if they didn't miss so many games. Comparing them is not only hilarious, it's ridiculous. At the same time, I'm not defending this whole "Mo Williams = Championship" garbage because it's not true. People seem to forget that we lost Kapono, still have Walker, Posey's future here is still undecided, our draft sucked, and we're probably losing 2 Hall Of Famers. So far our offseason has looked pitiful but Mo Williams would at least make us a little better. Not "OMG INSTANT CHAMPIONSHIP" better, but we'd obviously improve from what we are now. With that said...

1) Our division is going to be a hell of a lot tougher since everyone got better.

2) LOL Sixers.

I have no problem with people saying the Heat shouldn't be the favorite in the East, but to suggest that the Magic are convincingly better is just crazy talk.

Shaq and Wade played like 18 games together all of last season...and they still were the class of the conference. Want to tell me Washington's coming for us? Fine. Want to tell me Atlanta (yeah I said Atlanta) is coming for us? Fine. But NO WAY Orlando's 7 games better because of Lewis (the w/l differential between the two teams last season).

IF I had to shake down the East, I'd put Detroit 1, Chicago 2, Miami 3 and Cleveland 4...yeah the conference is weak, but the big guys aren't decrepit.

I didn't realize losing in 6 is being "embarrassed".

You can't just throw injuries out though....Shaq has proven to be injury prone almost every season and the way Wade plays, he's going to miss games every season...it's just a fact of life. Orlando got rid of their injury prone player and improved drastically with Lewis.

Count me in as not buying the Magic hype right now either. The guards are below average, Rashard Lewis is a good player, but is he #1 scoring option/superstar good enough to carry a team good? No way. He is a guy that would fit as a 2nd or 3rd option on a good team like the Heat. That contract is huge and stupid.

Dwight Howard is a very good player, but can he make that step to the next level? It is a big if, we'll see. What is the starting 5 right now?

1. Nelson

2. ?

3. Turkoglu?

4. Rashard Lewis

5. Dwight Howard

Yuck. I think the Knicks are in a better position, especially if they can get Ron Artest.
