July 13, 200718 yr Well tell me what Rome does so well other then rant and rave about how much of a dork he is with all his new electronics? Tell me the last actual sports talk radio he's done. by the way, your boy Coach K refuses to do Rome's show because of how much of a joke he is. Coach K was only in the Jungle earlier this week because Feinstein did the show. Or maybe he doesnt go in the Jungle because Rome rips him more than any national sports personality I can think of
July 13, 200718 yr Author Rome entertains me. Cowherd does not. Thus, I like Rome. I like his callers, I like his format, I like the quality of his interviews, I like that he is detatched from a network, etc. Oh noes, Coach K and Rome don't like each other. That isn't the end all for me.
July 13, 200718 yr Count me with Fox as one who likes Rome. He entertains me. He informs me. He makes me laugh.
July 13, 200718 yr colin cowherd, on the other hand, is probably the biggest blowhard douchebag on national sports radio today. i'd rather listen to a good charlotte cd than hear the ignorant bulls*** he spews. with some of the stunts he has pulled in the past (like when he blatantly stole from the m zone blog and refused to give credit) along with his general lack of an informed opinion it amazes me that he still has a job with espn. bill simmons' calling him out in a column earlier this year was priceless. Seconded. The Simmons mention was absolutely great. Here's another example of things that make me ask "How do these people get paid for their opinions?": http://www.firejoemorgan.com/2006/01/12-mi...in-cowherd.html yeah i've seen the fjm rips, they are great but i hate citing any of them here because of the "OMGSTATZRSOSTOOOOPID!!!!11" crowd that continues to permeate this place at a shockingly increasing rate also, it doesn't count as "shtick" from cowherd (or anyone else) if it's retarted nonsense that can be completely picked apart with five minutes of research; you're a national radio host for christ sake, look up some talking points before you go on the air and make sure they are factually accurate or at least able to be rationalized by a semi-reasonable human being. either he's a total dumbass or he's got the worst pa's on the radio....and i'm betting it's the former

July 13, 200718 yr Count me with Fox as one who likes Rome. He entertains me. He informs me. He makes me laugh. Me too. I especially like when he talks about soccer. It cracks me up.
July 13, 200718 yr I dislike almost every nationally syndicated sports radio host. They all suck and its always the same thing. Whatever story ESPN/FSN or any other network is currently humping thats all they talk about especially Patrick. I seriously cant stand Cowherd or Rome. I hate the 'jungle' I hate the 'clones' I hate Rome's pompous, smug attitude. Cowherd is a just a joke; however, Cowherd is better than Kornheiser who he took over for.
July 13, 200718 yr Rome holds grudges and it affects his opinions. I am not a fan, even though sometimes he makes very good points. I like Cowherd but hes been wearing on me lately. I loved the DP show... Professional and funny.. i guess im just not one for shock jocks who feel the need to tear apart players to make their point or tear apart listeners who dont agree with them.
July 18, 200718 yr Don't expect to hear Dan anymore other then one day....He's staying away from the studios and ESPN personnel regret that they didn't let him go earlier....This wasn't as amicable as made sound in the media.
August 19, 200718 yr I have a terrible feeling Stephen A is going to replace Dan...They tried a lot of combos out...Van Pelt was good along with Tirico, Herbstreit, Steve Phillips...Maybe they'll rotate guys
August 20, 200718 yr I love Jim Rome. :thumbup Never gotten into Colin Cowherd or Dan Patrick, though Patrick isn't unpalatable. Can't stand Keith Olbermann though.
September 21, 200718 yr Mike Tirico Show from 1-3 replaces Dan Patrick with Michele Tafoya, Scott Van Pelt and Herbstreit Stephen A. from 3-4
