And if he keeps his pace until the end of the season, then maybe he'll deserve it. But how can he be "most valuable" to his team when he's only played in roughly 60% of his teams games. Meanwhile Cabrera has the same OPS, but has played in nearly all of his teams games.

Well if all numbers are close in the end, Braun would get my vote if his team survived to make the playoffs but we gotta see if Braun can keep up this torrid pace to begin with
August 2, 200719 yr You're forgetting he has Fielder and Hardy on his team. Some are gonna argue that Prince would be the more deserving of the 3 simply because he's been slamming it since the start of the season.
August 2, 200719 yr And Dontrelle would have been the '03 Cy Young winner on August 1st. Miggy's production all year, plus his last 3 years tell me he's likely to finish above .330 and probably hit 40 this year. That's MVP worthy.
