College Football Week 3 Discussion

Featured Replies

Couple of interesting games to start it off tonight, as West Virginia visits College Park to take on the most underwhelming 2-0 team in the nation right now (Maryland) and TCU, coming off that disasterous 4th quarter collapse in Austin, visits the Air Force Academy. The Friday night game is also interesting as Oklahoma State visits Troy. And then of course, a bevy of interesting matchups on Saturday. Have at it.

Maryland was also a 9 win team last year. THEY SUCK! LETS PICK ON MARYLAND

Huh? They are 2-0 with a 31-14 win vs. Villanova and 26-10 win vs. Florida International. I'm not picking on them, it's just a fact they are the least impressive 2-0 team in 1-A (Football Bowl Subdivision) right now.

As for Michigan/Notre Dame....Claussen will have time to throw, Notre Dame does have some speed on offense, and I don't trust Ryan Mallet yet, as talented as he is. Notre Dame is my pick to make Michigan 0-3 overall and at home.

I'm picking Michigan as my "stone cold lock."

Notre Dame has no running game to speak of... they're f***ed

Anyway, my Hoosiers head home (2-0) to face Akron.... would be stellar to start off our season 3-0

Indiana will win. And Notre Dame had no running game against Penn State and Georgia Tech, possibly 2 of the lands 10 best defenses. Michigan's defense couldn't some high school teams right now, I think ND will be able to get enough of a running game to give Claussen time to throw. And again, I don't trust Ryan Mallet yet, and he can't move very well, so if you get pressure on him he's going down.

It isn't Michigan's run defense that is causing all the problems, it's their secondary. If given time, Claussen might see some success on Saturday.

Michigan has been sh*tty but man I just can't fathom them losing three straight to open the season at home.

Carr needs to run Hart until he can't move.

Yep, but they got their butt kicked by West Virginia last year, they got their butt kicked by West Virginia last night, and they are lucky they don't play them in 2008 or they'd get their butt kicked again. WVU isn't Villanova and Florida International. Oh, and that West Virginia running attack has a chance to be one of the greatest ever with the emergence of Devine to go with Schmidt, White, and Slaton. It's like the four horsemen all over again.

He's the closest thing to Barry Sanders I've ever seen. Not big at all and his straightline, 40 yard dash type speed is above average, but not great.....but his balance, vision, strength, open field moves, quickness, and general football intelligence are just off the charts.

HUGE upset in the MWC.

The Air Force Academy takes down TCU.

Guy I graduated with had 8 tackles and an interception.

Awesome.

I bet on TCU. It was nice watching that 17-3 lead disappear in 2 minutes.

Don't worry BDub, we're gonna have a big weekend
