October 22, 200323 yr He would had a infield hit if it wasn't for sending the runner home. no chance He had a good chance at it ....
October 22, 200323 yr I hope I do not see Derrek Lee or Alex Gonzalez in teal next year..... I think that's probably a pretty good bet. With their miserable performances they might be playing themselves right back down to the Marlins' price range. LOL I remember Gammons saying Lee would get 9 phucking million dollars. :lol . Get a real job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 22, 200323 yr I'm pretty upset, too, but a lot of the stuff being said in this thread is ridiculous.
October 22, 200323 yr Look, at this point, defense is only so important. Enc needs to be in, sea bass and DLee need to be out. Loyality and all that at this point don't mean anything, you have to play the guys that give you the best chance to win, and considering how they are hitting right now, sea bass and DLee aren't helping.

October 22, 200323 yr Give Mussina a little credit as well... He made a *great* play on that poke up the middle to throw out Pudge at 3rd and made quality pitches to get himself out of jams... Dude, why are you here? Seriously, not to be negative. But why are you here? You should be off on a Yankees board celebrating another hard fought win for the NYY.
October 22, 200323 yr Give Mussina a little credit as well...? He made a *great* play on that poke up the middle to throw out Pudge at 3rd and made quality pitches to get himself out of jams... I have to give George some credit too. He has a lot of money to put these great ball players on the field. Forget the phucking money issue... if you don't get clutch hits in clutch situation, you'll get beating by the Tigers, AAA Team, or A Team... period. Pathetic Mr. Anti-Clutch and Sea Gass.
October 22, 200323 yr i would prefer carlos pena over derrek lee right now. I will take Brian Banks but thats just me.
October 22, 200323 yr I just dont understand why Enc is on the pine Conine at 1B, Enc in RF, sit Lee. If you want d, you get Sea Bass, if you want offense, you get Enc, and no dlee. It's a simply concept, Jack. Now Jack obviously knows what he's doing, but i'll wonder about him if the lineup doesn't get shaken up for tomorrow.
October 22, 200323 yr I'd play 9 D. Lee's in the field and let another D. Lee pitch before I let Sea Bass in the phucking dugout. AS bad as Lee sucks he looks like Mickeyfreakin' Mantle compared to the village idiot Gonzalez.
October 22, 200323 yr CF - Pierre 2B - Castillo C - Pudge SS - Cabs RF - Enc 1B - 9er 3B - Lowell LF - Holly P - Whoever
October 22, 200323 yr I just dont understand why Enc is on the pine I don't understand why either since D.Lee was struggling but if you think about it payoff since D.Lee was clutch or lucky in game six and seven.
October 22, 200323 yr Posted Oct 20 9:53am  RAMP- as much as Id like to see Cabs at SS, Alex needs to be there He He!!!!

October 22, 200323 yr I'm not about to say DLee is having a great World Series. He did have the game-tying hit in Game 6 and the game-winning hit in Game 7 of the NLCS. So, he actually can get a clutch hit. He's batting a whopping .214 in the postseason. Enc is batting a whopping .212. So, DLee is not evil, and I don't think Enc is the answer. I hope Jack isn't as desperate as y'all...

October 22, 200323 yr OK, I just got back from the bar and that Game 3 sucked a**...Derrek Lee and Gonzalez are sh*t at the plate..A sac fly woulda worked here and that a-hole Lee hits a dribbler back to Moose..Pathetic..I am sick of watching Gonzalez at the plate...Finally gets a hit when it doesnt mean sh*t and he cant even lay down a lousy bunt And I had a few problems with Trader Jack's match-ups on the mound...I knew before the first pitch that Dontrelle pitching to Matsui was a mistake...I knew Matsui would slap it to left...I also knew Looper would f*ck up his inning pitched, and he did...Looper sucks and needs to go...I have never been sold on him and he has proved it in prime time...Send his sorry a** back to St. Louis..Marlins were ripped off on the Renteria deal... And where is the f*cking O? No homers....mostly singles this whole series...Marlins outhit the Yankees tonight and lose by 5 runs????WTF???????? Pudge, Cabs, and Pierre are hitting, where is everyone else? Castillo f*cked up by not taking pitches....Jesus Christ, even I knew Mussina was gonna keep throwing his low curve all nite and Castillo kept swinging at them...No discipline tonite.... Gonna be tough beating Clemens Wed., but goddamit, the Marlins better be swinging their bats and putting the ball in play, not giving foul ball souvenirs to every f*cking fan in the park
October 22, 200323 yr This team has had trouble hitting with runners in scoring position all year. They have always pulled it out somehow. Mike Mussina did a great job tonight. Once again, I will point out that Jack McKeon has been misusing his pitching staff. Rosenthal may be partly to blame although I don't know how much power or say he has in what happens. I would love to know though. I'm surprised it hasn't backfired before now. McKeon refuses to use his other relievers. He has used Chad Fox too much and it shows. He hasn't used Looper or any of the others enough to stay sharp. I know you guys complained when Rob Dibble got on Jack McKeon but he may have been right. The book on McKeon is that he ruins pitchers. I just hope Dontelle Willis hasn't been ruined but we'll find that out next spring. BUT remember...this team has been down before. These are the Yankees and that may be just enough to intimidate the Marlins!
