December 5, 200718 yr hanley seems to have a body that might fill out and outgrow SS but i wonder how he would be at 3B his problem isnt range or moves it is throws often not sure it would improveh im much just needs time and all imo

Isn't that how it should be? These are the guys he'll be competing jobs for. These are the guys he'll be measured against. Andino can be a solid SS for 1985, but it's not 1985 any more.
December 5, 200718 yr Well, since Amezaga is leap years ahead of Ramirez in defense, and short stop is the more important deffensive posistion, I'd rather have Amezaga at short. Also depends if Ramirez becomes a lot worse at third though.

December 5, 200718 yr Hard to believe Andino is just 23 I don't think Andino would hit well enough to stick in the majors, but I also don't think it's the worst idea to try him at 2B and shift Uggla to 3B if a young guy with upside like Marte can't be acquired. I'd still rather keep Uggla at 2B because his bat is more valuable there, but I'd also rather see Andino get a shot at 2B than start Amezaga at 3B. Shifting Hanley is retarted.

He had a respectable year offensively last season and can play second base. If he could put up the numbers he did in the PCL last season in 2008 we'd all be happy the front office held onto him, and if Uggla moves to third he just might finally get his chance to see what he can do as an everyday MLB player.
