Official Josh Hamilton Mancrush thread

Featured Replies

Tonite Hamilton went 5-5 with 2 HRs and 5 more RBIs. That gives him a .314 avg 10 HRs and 49 RBIs in only 42 games He has already surpassed the total amount of RBI's he had last season in 90 games. To think how close he was to becoming a Marlin, than Cin just went ahead and traded him away. Not that Volquez is not doing well, but comeon Hamilton is having an MVP type season at this rate he will have 100 RBIs by the all star game. ( With Texas' lineup and ballpark it is totally possible) I so have a mancrush on this guy!

The Reds probably made the right trade there, though. With their outfield depth they could afford it, and Volquez has arguably outperformed Hamilton thus far.

Still, nice to see.

I don't know, this guy is tied in the AL for HR's and leads the majors in RBI's. He plays one of the most difficult positions to play, plus he is loaded with talent, speed and work ethic. Volquez is filthy, but he needs to trim down on the walks, they are a major reason he fails to exceed 5 or 6 innings which can be taxing on a pen. I think the trade could be viewed as even, but I want to see Volquez improve his control before I say the Reds won this.

Superb pitching in a hitter's park > Superb hitting in a hitter's park

But, yes, a good trade for both sides
